All I feel are the assaults of apprehension and terror at the thought that I am the only one who is entirely unlike the rest.
———————————————————————Loud gunshots rung out. Echoing throughout the narrow alleyway. But just as he suspected it, they missed. It made him squint his eyes as he aimed his pistol directly at the hooded man's head.
"Don't move."
The hooded man kept his gun raised towards Odasaku, but he wasn't moving. Just as Odasaku was going to bark out more orders, a bullet whizzed passed his head. Barley even scraping his skin. He clicked his tongue and he slowly craned his neck.
Great, another one of them. Now he was trapped. Was this some sort of trap? To kill him? Or to take this safe In his hands? Maybe both, but Odasaku needed an escape route fast. But he didn't even know if he could slip by without getting shot.
The two hooded men on either side of Odasaku slowly closed in on him. Their steps were loud and it sent alarms blaring in Odasaku's head. His eyes darted back and forth, gun raised in the air. He needed a plan.
"Odasaku, duck!"
Obeying, he crouched down and closed his eyes. A harsh vibration travelled through his body as a bright light forming right above him. A stun grenade. The oldest trick of the book. It was a pretty common use but a useful weaponry.
Just as the lights slowly dimmed, gunshots fired towards the two men, leaving multiple bullets holes in their clothes and flesh. Pained groans escaped their lips as they collapsed to the ground. Dead.
Odasaku stood still, waiting for the gunshots to die down. Eventually, it did. But he still stayed in his crouching position. He felt ashamed, embarrassed that he had to be saved by her. A grown man getting his ass kissed by some teenager. Pathetic.
"Your always such a troublemaker, aren't you, Odasaku?"
Said male lifted his head, glancing towards the female who walked towards him with a gentle smile. Her tone was laced with humor but also with a little disappointment in it, too.
"I know you could've easily and quickly killed every one of these gunmen if you wanted to, but you didn't, sadly."
She reached out a bandaged arm for him to take. Odasaku's eyes lingered on it for a few seconds before taking it in a firm grip. (Y/N) steadily lifted him up into his two feet. The man brushed off the remaining dust coating his shirt as he looked around.
