From the moment Sakunosuke Oda met (L/N) (Y/N), he felt strange.
It wasn't the kind of strange that would make you want to get near to someone, but rather to run away from them. She had a peculiar smile on her face, one that often never betrayed her thoughts. One could not tell what she was thinking and one would rather not ask what she was thinking.
If one were to ask her, she would just smile and stare blankly for a moment, before responding with, "I feel like shit." It was as if she truly did not know what she felt, and decided to choose any random thing.
From the very moment Oda met (Y/N), he felt a sort of kinship with her. He felt like he understood her. He felt like he knew her.
(Y/N) was a monster pretending to be human, not knowing much about human emotions, occasionally confusing them. She would confuse anger with disappointment, happiness with sadness, playfulness with seriousness. Each day it was like she put on a mask covering her real face. But then again, what was her real face?
Sitting and drinking alcohol with both Oda and Ango was something (Y/N) would deem as 'joy' but she sometimes mistook it for wariness. When (Y/N) got tipsy, she would mention someone one or twice but never thrice. She would stare fondly at the glass and lightly tap it saying, "He wouldn't like this. He only drinks wine."
When you would ask who she was talking about, her face would immediately fall and she would shut up.
Sometimes she would say, "I'm talking about a ginger with blue eyes."
Oda knew who she was speaking of. She never met the guy before but he knew his name and about his gravity manipulation. He also knew that (Y/N) seemed to be...in love with him? But (Y/N), with all her smartness, wouldn't know that. She mistook love for hate, and seriousness for playfulness. She said that she hated the redhead. When Oda was asked why she wouldn't elaborate.
She's so confusing.
When it was just Oda and (Y/N), she would say that she hated the newbie that she scouted for Port Mafia. This time, when she was asked why, she thought for a bit, "Because he reminds me of me." She paused, then continued, "Maybe if I bully him enough he will leave, or be transferred over to another person."
Oda had then asked her why she would act so cruel towards him even though she said all of that. He asked whether or not Mori would be mad at her.
(Y/N) laughed then. Of course, Mori would be mad. Akutagawa was someone who was necessary to the Port Mafia, and if (Y/N) abused him too much maybe he would try to leave. Then Mori would have to kill her.
