"I should have died sooner."

February. The month (Y/N) truly despises. During the month after January, everything is filled with the colors pink and red. The shape of heart decorations roam the streets, fresh roses get handed out, and the sweet scent of chocolate fill the air, giving it a sugary, warm comfort to everyone around it.

Valentine's Day. Another reason why (Y/N) dislikes February. The holiday is based off love either between friends or star-crossed lovers. (Y/N) still couldn't get her head wrapped around the feeling of love and it's concept. Emotions generally come with a lot of confusion and variability due to how differently people utilize and deal with them.

(Y/N) rested her head on the palm of her hand as she stared out the bar's little, narrow window. The sun was setting, casting the sky in a brilliant array of oranges and purples. The scene reminded her of a painting.

The girl looked at the wooden bar table. A drink filled with Romanée-Conti was passed to her by the bartender. The girl gave him a nod in thanks as she gently took the cup and sipped on the red liquid. She placed the cup down and sighed.

(Y/N) looked down at her lap. Two heart-shaped boxes along with two red roses laid still. Her lips pressed together in uncertainty.

Before (Y/N) came to the bar, she decided to take a little trip to Kouyou's office to have some wine with her and talk about nonsense. However, (Y/N) noticed the boxes of chocolates and roses scattered on her desk.

Long story short, Kouyou noticed (Y/N)'s stares at the chocolates and roses, so she gifted (Y/N) some so the girl can give it to others.

Despite how much (Y/N) hates holidays, she decides to do something for her two good friends this Valentine's Day.

(Y/N) nervously tapped the ice in her glass of wine. It was just her at the bar today. Oda and Ango are probably on their way right now. Why did she feel so nervous? She was only giving them small gifts for their friendship. She shouldn't be nervous.

The sounds of the door creaking opened made her heart rate skyrocket.

The girl kept a neutral face on as she watched two familiar companions walk into view. "You're here early." Oda said, sitting besides the girl while Ango sat on the other side.

(Y/N) shrugged. "I didn't have anything to do today, so I decided to come here to pass time."

Oda hummed in acknowledgment, ordering a glass of Champagne in the process while Ango ordered tomato juice. Once the two had their beverages delivered, they immediately starting drinking.
(Y/N) felt her mind wonder, leaning back in her swiveled chair.
