Ch 54: Be Polite And Accept

''They knew we were coming.'' 

''Perhaps that guy we captured leaked us that information on purpose. It's all part of their plan.''  Hoseok is right....We can't trust anything that guy gives us. 

But why do I get this eerie feeling washing over me?

''You feel it too?'' Hoseok spoke interrupting my thoughts. 

''Something is coming...'' And I don't feel good about it. 

''It's better to keep everyone alert, and in groups. If only we had more people to fight them on equal ground...''  Both our eyes averted to Doyun who was leaning by the window. 

If only he would be fighting with us. A necromancer like him would give us such an advantage. 

''As I said, I'm happy to help with the investigation, but I won't be using my powers for combat. I'm only training Y/N cause we had a promise that she would come with me after everything is settled here. Besides....I will be leaving tomorrow night. I received a call from a friend...I'm needed there.'' I knew from the start that trying to persuade him to fight alongside us won't help, but either way, we tried giving it a shot. 

A soft sigh left my mouth as I nodded. 

''Haewon is leaving for the States tonight as well. Her department needs her. Not only are the citizens of Seoul going crazy about the whole 'vampires being real' case, but it's also spreading in other countries as well.'' 

''The streets are indeed restless'' Doyun spoke as he averted his eyes to the city. 

These days the news has been filled with people protesting or releasing videos of the existence of vampires. The government is still trying hard to feed everyone with lies, but it's not working. 

''Perhaps we can ask Mr. Kang to help us out..'' Hoseok proposed making me instantly shake my head. 

''He has his own company, a wife, a daughter. If anything would have been to happen to him I won't be able to forgive myself.'' This is not his battle to fight.

''Which leaves just the two of us as the Originals, up against the whole organization of Originals.'' We exchanged looks with each other before bursting out in laughter. 

''It was nice to know you.'' I joked making Hoseok crack up. 

But he is right...We are the only ones who are able to fight against them on equal ground, for the others in the team....it would be a hellish fight. 

''We should have some fate in them.....I'm sure there will be a day they will even surpass us.''  Who knows...

Doyun is leaving tomorrow night...

I lowered my phone after replying to his message. He will be away for at least 2 weeks is what he said.....

A sigh left my mouth still not being used by this voice inside my head.

Like hell, I would do that. I'm already feeling like an utter idiot allowing this to happen.

I stopped in my tracks once I reached the hospital door. 

They said Jungkook awakened yesterday...he is still recovering. I wonder...if he would mind if I came to visit.
