Ch 3: Let's have a drink

He really did sleep on the couch....

I walked my way pass the couch heading to the kitchen. I still can't believe what happened yesterday. It all feels like a big dream, but the truth is....it's not. 

So you're saying starting from today I'm that guy his servant...

''Waaa smells good, is it pancakes?'' I jumped on the spot letting out a squeal hearing his voice hit the back of my neck.

''I'm sorry did I startle you?'' He yawned but I stood stunned on my spot. 

''I didn't even hear your footsteps'' I commented causing a grin to appear on his face.

''We vampires are light on our feet'' he explained making me just nod before focusing back on the pancakes. 

''Do you want some as w-.........Oh, wait. You guys don't eat human food right?'' I questioned. 

''We do!'' He spoke in disbelief before seating himself at the counter. 

''Blood is not our 'food' it's just a way to restore our energy'' He spoke. 

There is still so many question marks in my head, but I think it's better to learn things as time goes by. 

As I continued making breakfast Jungkook his eyes kept on staring at me leaving me uneasy. I placed the plate of pancakes in front of him along with some cutlery, a fruit salad and orange juice, before taking a spot at the counter as well. 

''Do you have a pen and paper?'' he questioned. I stood up from my spot reaching for my bag getting what he needs. 

Man it really does feel like I'm his servant. Making breakfast and now this.....

As I sat down again I noticed him drawing a rectangle box. 

''You see this. This is our energy level. It starts full'' I carefully listened to what he said watching him fill it in with color. 

''It decreases along the way. Depending on what we did it can decrease slow or fast. For example if I get wounded it will decrease fast, Or if use a lot of my stamina as well.  But if I just spend a day staying inside all day it will barely decrease. You get that?'' He asked making me nod. 

''In order to get our energy level up again we need to drink blood. Depending on the vessel we drink from determines how much. For example from weak vessels you need to drain a lot of blood to get your full energy level back up, but drinking from a strong vessel even the tip of their fingers would be enough blood to get it full.'' 

''What happens if the energy level is totally drained?'' Somehow I found myself becoming more interested in vampires.

''Then we go berserk. The bloodlust becomes to much and that's when vampires lose control and go on a hunting spree. Sucking every human being that lands on their path dry.'' Hearing him say that I felt the hairs on my body starting to rise. 

What if that's going to happen to Jungkook?

''So other than that you don't need to drink blood?'' I asked seeing him nod. 

''That's the only need. Of course we drink blood sometimes even though our energy level is full, cause it's just tasty'' he explained before stuffing his face full with pancakes. 

Mmmmm....there are so many things I do not know.
