Ch 11: My heartbeat is changing because of you

''Ah, you see about that.....'' I noticed Hoseok scratching the back of his nape, avoiding eye contact. 

''She has been avoiding me ever since that day'' I added knowing that he would spill everything as long as I get him to pity me. 

''Lylla....might have talked about her grudge against you. Why and all that. She told Y/N it's for the best if she doesn't stay near you all the time'' Honestly speaking hearing this didn't surprise me at all. 

''That woman...'' I grunted under my breath as Hoseok seated himself next to me. 

''Jungkook.....I have known you since you were little. I saw how you changed after your parents died. Being all alone shutting everyone out. You became selfish and placed yourself always first, but it doesn't seem to be the case with Y/N.'' 

What's with his sudden accusation?

''Of course. She is my servant I'm supposed to take care of her aren't I?'' I cleared my throat before focusing back on some files that were scattered on my desk. 

''You see that's something I don't get either. Why did you make her your servant?'' 

''Because she is a rare human with strong blood'' Why is he even asking such obvious things?

''Mmmm.....if you say so'' What's that supposed to mean?! 

Before I could open my mouth the door towards the boss his office busted open. I sighed under my breath seeing our boss enter the office greeting everyone he came across happily.

He is so childish I can't believe we take orders from this dude. He always goes around barefooted and why the heck does he wear a necktie when he doesn't even know how to wear it properly!!

''Oh Hobi, how have you been. It's been a long time since I last saw you.'' Hoseok instantly rose up from his seat making a 90-degree bow. 

''I have been well. I am mostly out on the field these days, I'm glad to see you're looking healthy Mr. Lee.'' I watched the two make some small talk getting along well. 

How annoying.....

''Right Jungkookie I came because I forgot to tell you. You'll be sent to Busan in 2 days to help with the investigation. A body was found today, it's spoken to be 'him'.'' 

W-Wait what?! Me?!

I instantly jumped out of my chair slamming my hands on my desk. 

''You can't send me! I have to stay here to look after Y/N!'' Blurting that out I saw a smirk appear on his face. I knew exactly what he was going to say. 

''That's none of my concern. You'll have to deal with that yourself.''

''You really like bugging me don't you, why can't you just send anyone els-''

''I said you're going'' I froze in my spot and remained quiet. I felt Hoseok stiffen beside me as well and everyone in the office stopped with what they were doing feeling the heavy aura coming off from Mr. Lee. He is always goofing around and acting childish but when he becomes serious......it's something that gets even me to shake in my shoes. 

''End of conversation'' And with that he turned his back on us, retrieving back to his office.

''You know why he sends you. You're one of our best men and he needs someone that will report everything properly to him. I'm needed here so that's why it has to be you. Besides he has set Lylla and her team to look out for Y/N'' Hearing Hoseok say that last sentence really hit a nerve.
