Ch 58: Our Color Is Red

The loud ringing sound in my ears started to fade away. Slowly but surely their voices reached my ears.

''They will kill us if we hurt her...'' The voice belonged to the guy behind me, his grip on me still as tight as ever. 

It hurts...

Everywhere, my whole body. A pain I never felt before.....it is unbearable. I wanted to scream but for some reason my mind was calm. My body remained tense just by their presence. I was trembling.....however, I didn't feel scared. 

Ah, probably because...I prepared myself for death.

Ever since I got kidnapped by Taesung...I prepared myself over and over again....for death. Taesung treats me carefully probably because I remind him of his deceased wife, but it doesn't change the fact that ...he is a murderer. 

He has killed tons of humans, women, children. Even though thousands of years ago it was because of an act of rage. I'm sure even in the last couple of years he has killed women. After all those women that started being attacked and disappearing due to a serial killer....it appeared to be Taesung. He wasn't the one who killed them, but he did kidnap them for their blood. 

There will come a day that he will kill me too, that's what I kept telling myself. Waking up with that every morning made....lose my fear of death. 

''She won't die from a bite.'' Our eyes met as the other guy pulled away from my neck. His lips were coated in red, a trail of my blood dripping down his chin. 

''Her blood is fucking tasty, you're gonna regret not digging your fangs in her.'' No matter how hard I tried to put my mind, to do something. My body just wouldn't listen. 

I became blank...my thoughts, thinking of a way to escape. I just couldn't.

''Then I guess I will have a sip as we-''

Just kill me alre-

W-Who...

My eyes were looking at the guy in front of me for just a second. His face changed, his eyes widened in fear....and his body tensed up, but that's all I was able to see before a hand came into my vision placing itself on my eyes. 

Shortly after a loud thud was heard in the room, while the grip on my hands loosened. 

I can move my hands again.....

''B-Boss please! We....We..H-Have merc-''

Once again the room fell silent.....another loud thud followed as if something heavy got dropped onto the floor. 

''M-My Lord...I am so sorry...we didn't know they were here''

Casey?

''Save it...I don't want to hear it right now.'' It was Taesung his voice, right behind me. 

''Get rid of their bodies.'' 

''T-Taesung?'' My still trembling hand carefully placed itself on top of his, which was blocking out my sight.

He killed them...

''Stay put....you don't want to see this.'' And with that my hand lowered back within an instant. 

Knowing that the two males from just now were dead allowed my mind and body to slowly try and relax. Due to that, I became painfully aware of the damage done to my body. 

Clenching my teeth tightly I noticed my body being drained from energy as well as my senses giving up on me. 

Am I....dying?
