Mr. Kang

My eyes shifted towards the door hearing footsteps approaching my office.

''No need to knock, come in'' I spoke clearly knowing that Y/N was the one visiting me. That is because I called for her.

Y/N has been working under me for 2 years now, she is one of the best employees I have. Even though I always pressure her with more work, it's because I know it will be done correctly and on time. She is an essential employee to me, just like the others.

''Mr. Kang....you called for me?'' I nodded my head gesturing for her to sit down across from me. I finished checking some files before closing the report and focusing my attention on her.

''How is it going with the report? Do you think you're able to finish everything before next week?'' Her eyes lit up while she fixed her posture in the chair.

''Yes! Definitely, I might even finish everything at the end of this week'' she informed making me relieved. This is why I always rely on her.

''That's great to hear...'' I felt my thoughts driving me away from the conversation.

''Boss?''

''Oh right. How are you feeling other than work? If you want to work from home that's also fine by m-''

''I'm completely fine with working at the company. I'm sure that....after what happened to Hyemi, you might feel a bit responsible but...I want to keep working at the company here. You don't have to worry about me. I'm being cautious.'' Hearing her say this I wonder.....Who is the one that made her a servant?

I noticed it immediately on the first day. The scent of a vampire, and the marking. Y/N became someone's servant. She looked horrible at first. Lack of sleep, she didn't eat properly and wasn't able to focus at all. My employees mean a lot to me so at first I was convinced that the vampire that had her under his control was none other than someone with bad intentions, but as days passed she started to return back to normal. Seeing how she is now...I'm guessing she is in good hands.

I'm very aware of the fact that her existence is being known to our kind these days. It's dangerous and makes me worried. I don't want any more of my people to get hurt.

''I understand. Oh, right I got you something.'' Bending over I fished for the bag beside me placing it down on my desk in front of the both of us. She seemed surprised by my remark looking at the bag with curiosity.

''You have been working a lot lately and looking kinda tired. This will help you. It's tea make sure to drink one cup every night before heading to bed. It will help you sleep peacefully.'' I pushed the bag more towards her side allowing her to grab it.

''Thank you so much that's really kind of you!'' Standing up from her spot I watched her bow 3 times making me slightly smile.

''I hope it tastes good, my wife bought it''

''I'm sure it will, I'll make good use of it'' Seeing her happy makes me relieved. I'm sure she has been and is going through a lot.

''Ah right! How is your wife doing? It's been ages since I last saw her and the little one.''

''She is doing fine thank you for asking. The little one as well she has grown a lot'' She nodded her head taking a firm grip of the bag in her hand.

''Give her my greetings''

''I will, you can go back in now. Please tell Namgi I want to see him'' She bowed once more before leaving my office.

------------------------------------------------------

''Long blonde hair and a scar on his face...You kinda seem to match the description'' The broad man turned around our heights matching as he looked at me in disgust.

''Who might you be?'' He questioned. His eyes were scanning me from head to toe noticing I was wearing a suit and carrying my briefcase with me.

''I always want to laugh seeing vampires like you. Trying to be a human'' He spat.

''You're the one right? The one that killed one of my employees?'' I'm not in the mood for small talk.

''What makes you think that?'' He chuckled at my assumption brushing his locks to the back. His blue colored eyes turned into a bright red color.

He is feeling intimidated by me

''I have some friends at the police force. This was the intel they gave me and you seem to match the description. You don't see guys like you walking around here much'' There is no doubt...It is him. Good thing I caught him in an ally.

''And what if it is me? You gonna kill me? Do you think you can beat me? While you have been lazying away behind a desk acting so human-like, I have been hunting ever since. It makes me laugh that you came here with so much confident thinking you can actually do something to me.'' I remained calm listening to every word he said.

''Yes, it was me! From vampire to vampire I'll be honest with you. I killed the girl, someone asked me too.''

That's all I needed to know.

''And between you and me she was really tast-''

I watched his eyes lose color before his body fell to the floor. The hole in his chest was allowing the ground beneath him to color in a flood of dark red. Looking at my sleeve totally stained in red made me sigh before dropping his heart at my feet.

''You owe me a new suit'' I quickly scanned around knowing we were still alone. I was quick to fish for my handkerchief wiping away the blood on my hand. Of course, It didn't clean me properly but if it is one thing that I hate it's dirtying my hands like this. I can't even remember when the last time was.

-----------------------------------------------

''I'm home''

''Welcome hom- What did you do?!'' I instantly got attacked by my wife seeing her eyes turn into horror the moment she laid eyes on me.

''A-Are you hurt?!'' I let my briefcase slip away from my hands letting it fall to the floor before hugging her tightly against my body.

''I'm fine....'' Silence fell as I listened to her steady heartbeat resting my head in her neck.

''The guy that killed my employee...I found him and I killed him...'' I confessed hearing her sigh deeply.

''I see....'' She whispered her words gently before rubbing my back.

''Nari?''

''She is sleeping. You should take a shower.''

---------------------------------------

As I laid in bed looking at my wife sleeping next to me it reminds me of my past every time.

I have always believed that humans and vampires are able to co-exist. It's something my parents believed and they raised me with those norms as well. During my youth, my uncle taught me a lot about what it means to be a vampire, hunting, feeding, our instincts, combat. But as I got older I started living my life more as a human you could say. I went to school, college, got a job. During those times I fell in love with a human, even after knowing what I actually was she accepted me for who I am. We got married, had a child, I even established my own company the one I'm the CEO of now.

To me, things can't get any better. Of course, being married to a human comes with a lot of difficulties. It's something that's mostly seen as impossible. We had a lot of ups and downs but in the end, we got through it.

We had this talk a lot of times. The fact that....she will grow older without me and that our daughter needs to learn who she really is eventually when she starts to develop. A half-vampire..... but even so there are difficulties coming our way. I know we will get through those as well, just like the one from before.
