Ch 13: Ready for a change

''Well, I'll be leaving. If anything happens let me know.'' Looking at Jungkook standing in the doorway with packed bags made me feel sad for a moment. Today I felt we got closer to one another....why does he have to leave already? 

''Don't worry just go and focus on the investigation'' The familiar vampire by the name of Hoseok spoke to him lightly ruffling Jungkook his hair. The sight of it made me soft. 

They look like brothers. 

I'm glad that at least I'm not staying alone. After everything that happened to be alone in an apartment....brings back bad memories. It makes me scared and restless, but having a vampire around to guard make makes me feel much more at ease. 

''Besides you should worry more about yourself. You look as pale as the moon Jungko-''

 ''I'm fine. Can you guys just stop mentioning that? I know already.'' Jungkook seemed annoyed by the remark given by Hoseok, brushing his hand away. 

But it's true....You make us worry because it's obvious you're not feeding properly. Of course, we'll say that to you. 

''Well then if you say so. Off you go now! The taxi is waiting outside'' Hoseok took a hold of Jungkook his shoulders turning him around. I noticed Jungkook slightly turning his head allowing our eyes to meet. I shot him a smile with a small wave. 

''Take care'' I spoke getting returned with a smile back before he bent over grabbing his last bag and walking away. 

Now it's just Hoseok and me. I feel a bit nervous cause I don't really know him that well....

Hoseok slammed the door shut instantly turning around while looking at me with a big smile. 

W-What?

I felt my hands starting to sweat as I started to fidget with my shirt. 

''He can be quite an annoying brat right?'' He grinned referring to Jungkook before walking past me. The first thing he did was scanning around the place with widened eyes. 

''I already noticed this the first time I got here, but you guys really have a nice place. It's way better than the basement that guy used to stay at'' He paused in his tracks before slightly turning towards me. 

''Well I mean...anything is better than a basement of course'' He spoke causing me to chuckle. 

This Hoseok is quite a funny guy. 

''Please make yourself at home. If you have any questions or want something don't hesitate to ask me. Since we will be living together from now on, I hope we'll get along well'' I bowed my head giving him my sincere words. The moment I straightened my back to look at him he shot me a smile. 

Such a....beautiful smile. It felt like my mood instantly lifted. What kind of sorcery is this? Is he really a vampire? More like an angel!

''I look forward to living with you'' He spoke with a gentle tone causing me to slightly bow again. 

''Me too. I'll be in your care'' I replied seeing him nod with a little nose scrunch.

Time passed quickly. I gave Hoseok a small home tour, afterward, he settled all his stuff and both of us got groceries. We were currently ready to have dinner. 

I felt myself become a bit nervous as I handed him his plate. 

''I hope you like it. Usually, Jungkook does the cooking cause he is the better cook.'' I spoke but it seemed he didn't focus at all while staring at the food.
