Jooha
It has been almost 2 years...
I'm back in the States alive and well. After I made a full recovery in Seoul I left for the States. Finally, I was able to return to my mother, my friends, and work. It was crazy to think that due to Y/N her healing not even one scar was left on my body.
2 years flew by in the blink of an eye. The fact that vampires exist was now fully known to the world. Right now...society came to terms with it. Of course, it's still a scary thing to know, but due to all the fairy tales we lived with, people accepted reality rather quickly. The police department grew tremendously during those years and special forces suited for vampire cases were established. Just like the SCI back in Seoul.
I still think about him...I want to say every now and then, but that would be a lie. I wake up thinking about him and when I go to bed, my mind wanders off to the times we spent together.
Y/N told me that Taesung got arrested because of his crimes, more than that she didn't know but it was only logical that he would be put in jail.
2 years was enough time for me to think. Think about my days there, Taesung....looking back this was probably for the best. There is still so much I don't know about him, the times we had spent were short, yet...lingered on my mind for 2 years straight.
I eventually decided to tell my mother the truth about what happened. Of course, she was devastated, she cried for hours finding out I got kidnapped, but between her crying, she was muttering ' Thank you.' A thank you to Taesung for keeping me safe and....saving my life.
For safety purposes we got her blood tested as well to check if she was an S class vessel, but it appeared I had my dad his blood running in my veins.
''Jooha?''
''W-What?'' Oh crap I was thinking about other things again.
''I'm so sorry, I was...thi-''
''It's okay.'' A small chuckle came from the man seated in front of me. His hand reached for my empty cup placing it next to him. I watched him tidy the table waiting for him to repeat his question.
''I asked if you wanted dessert.'' Once again that warm smile darted toward me.
Sungjin is a really nice guy, he was actually genuinely funny, had great manners, handsome, and had a stable job. After years of nagging me to go on blind dates, I decided to finally let my mother have her way.
He is the son of one of my mother her local customers. She became close with his mother because they both moved to the States 4 years ago. At first, my mother kept on going on and on about this customer that would come by once in a while, back when I was in Seoul. Someone tall, muscular, handsome. He was always asking how my mother her day was and gifting her flowers. But he stopped coming after a while, I'm glad he did. Having my mother introduce me to him with those intentions would only be way too embarrassing.
''How about we go get dessert at my mother her cafe.'' Hearing me propose it made his eyes almost sparkle. Sungjin is a sucker for my mother her desserts after all. Especially the milk tea sponge cake.
''Are you sure? Isn't she closing up soon?'' Once again him being so considerate.
''I'm sure she won't mind, she told me she wanted to see you anyways.'' One more plus thing, my mother likes him.
