Ch 27: A new Threat

''Jooha...I'm sure it's a lot to take...'' I felt my head spin taking in all this information.

''Yeah...I'm just hoping to wake up now any second and this would all be a crazy dream.'' I shot Y/N a small smile reassuring her of my joke. 

''So that means you're not her boyfriend?'' 

''I'm not.'' Well, at least he is an honest guy.

Vampire and servant huh? And Mr. Hak is probably interested in making me his servant as well because I'm just like Y/N a...What is it again? S class vessel. Which are humans with a rare type of blood. Jungkook is a vampire who works for an organization that protects people from his own kind and on top of that.......Y/N is only half-human.

''I need a moment to take everything in...more like a couple of days.'' I stood up from my spot deciding to end our gathering in the living room. 

''Jungkook can we talk?'' He stood up from his spot but so did Y/N.

''Alone'' I made clear causing Y/N to quietly sit back down again. The both of us left the apartment heading outside.

''Are you sure that he is after me to make me his servant?'' 

''That's the only logical explanation I can come up with right now." I wanted to talk with Jungkook alone cause I don't want to worry Y/N. I can't believe she has been going through all of this alone...I don't want to put an extra burden on her. 

''Mmm...''

''But don't worry he won't do anything to you for now. I'm sure of it. If he would let's say kidnap you he will only corner himself. The two of you are known to be working on the project right. Many eyes will be darted towards him if he makes a move. I'll be talking with my boss about the situation. I'm sure he'll put people in charge of looking out for yo-''

''Don't'' No matter how I think about it...that doesn't seem smart. 

''Like you said he probably won't make a move now. I'm certain as well. He isn't an idiot as a matter of fact he is really smart. If you put people on me he will notice for sure, making it clear that we know about his motives. To play it safe it's best if he thinks I don't know anything at all.'' 

''Fine with me, but do inform us about his actions from time to time.'' I couldn't help but found myself staring at Jungkook. 

''You....aren't taking advantage of Y/N are you? If you hurt he-''

''I simply made Y/N my servant with the reason that she was an S class vessel, but right now it has more meaning. I genuinely care for her. She is being targeted by a lot of my kind. I just simply wish to keep her safe and return the favor of letting me feed on her. If she wants to end our contract I will do so without hesitation.'' 

Guess he saw my question coming.

''I don't care about the fact that she is this half necromancer thing that I still don't understand. To me, she is still the Y/N that I know. The innocent one with a kind heart to others. I don't care if you're a vampire or werewolf and I'm just a mere human. I'll protect her at any cost. Even if it will cost me my life.'' My bold statement meant as a warning earned a chuckle from him. It kinda caused me to feel offended.

''You know...You remind me of my mother.'' But hearing the reasoning behind his chuckle made my grim feelings fade away. 

''Ah...''

''She died tho...many years ago as well as my father. Usually, I don't really spend my time thinking about them let alone miss them. It's nice to be reminded of them by seeing how similar you are to the one who granted me life.''

''You.....sure know how to use your words don't you? Don't do that too much to Y/N. She will fall for you.'' Once again my remark got replied with a small laugh.

''W-Where is Jungkook?''

''He said he needed to do some things. He told me to tell you. Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to lay in bed in the hope that I'll wake up and find out that this was a dream.''

''Miran let's talk!'' Without hesitation, I stormed into her office letting myself in. 

Ooff yes I should have expected that glare.

''Storm in one more time and I'll snap your neck.'' She gritted her teeth before focussing back on her papers. 

Such a workaholic. 

''If you're here to get sucked off go find someone else you know I'm taken'' Am I really just a horny guy in her eyes?? That hurts!

''Oh yes, how could I forget. Dating that person you cheated with when we were together.'' My statement made her drop her attention from her work to me. 

'''Don't go crying now. It's not like we were in a serious relationship and you know that.'' I slightly chuckled before walking my way to the chair in front of her. 

''Yeah yeah, I know. So how is she anyways''

''Who?''

''Your girlfriend obviously.''

''She is doing fine thank you very much. So? State your business you really think I'm interested in conversing small talk with you?'' 

Ouch, I hope she doesn't treat her girlfriend like this. 

''I'm sure you know about Taesung by now.'' Well, let's get down to business. 

''Ah, the one suspected to be that serial killer? I heard the actual killer was one of his underlings and he killed him on the spot.'' Just like I thought if I need information about our city Miran is the person to go to.

''Do you have any new intel on him?'' 

''Not sure why I should tell you.'' I sighed softly slightly leaning forward on her desk. 

''Please someone I know can be in danger. He has targetted her.''

''That human girl you brought with you last time?''

''No....someone else.'' 

I watched her sigh before dropping her pen and leaning back into her chair.

''Remind me again why I should tell you? I already returned back the favor of saving my life by giving you a place to stay have I not?'' 

''Please! I'm asking for a favor here.'' Noticing her small snicker coming from her made a question mark grew. 

''Well well haven't you turned soft?''

''I'll tell you this. I don't think Taesung is the one you should worry about.'' What does she mean?

''It seems a foreign group has entered our borders. It appears they are from London and according to some intel they aren't a friendly group.'' I straightened my back being all ears. 

''What do you mean by not friendly?''

''Not sure either but I'm guessing they are those who believe strongly in the system of Vampires ruling over the humans.''

''Our organization will easily get rid of the-''

''Don't speak too early. They are a group of originals. If I'm not mistaken the only original your organization has is your boss. I wonder how you guys will handle this....''
