Ch 64: Eye To Eye With The Enemy

His men, did he forget that it was some of his men that tried to kill me! 

''Jooha...'' 

Casey...

''A-Are you okay?'' I'm sure everyone could feel the tension in my body all around the mansion. The truth is...I'm not going to wait here and sit doing nothing. With Taesung gone now, it's time I finally make a move and leave this place. 

Although the first time wasn't really a succession. 

''No, I have been here long enough...I can't keep sitting here, while the others are fighting out there. Taesung prefers keeping me here, but I'm not an animal. It's time to really take my leave..''

''Jooha you can't...I'm sure Taesung has his reasons. He just wants to keep you safe.''

''I know, bu-''

''I can't let you go, I'm sorry.'' 

Figured that much...

Noticing how Casey her eyes started to widen made me feel anxious for a moment. She stepped towards me in a hurry, her hand clasping my wrist tightly.

''C-Come...'' And with that my body got dragged away. As we were passing the halls heading to god knows where a sound alarmed me. It was the sound of a door slamming shut. 

What's going on?

''Miss Cas-'' Another maid.

''Let the men handle it, take Jooha to Taesung her room. Lock the door.'' 

''Wait... what is goi-''

''Go.'' 

''Come on Miss we need to hurry.'' I felt myself slightly stumble along the way the tight grip on my wrist now being handed to the other maid that worked inside the mansion. 

''Is someone going to explain to me what's going on?!'' This time I was feeling frustrated myself. Seeing their expressions and the emotions they were portraying in their eyes, yet not knowing what was going on. 

It didn't take long before we reached, Taesungs familiar room. I got pushed inside the maid following behind me as she closed the door in a hurry. In a whim, she pulled out a key, locking the door quickly behind us. I noticed how her hands were trembling and her pupils remaining big.

''There is an intruder..'' It seemed like she collected herself as she took a deep breath before turning towards me. Her hands carefully grabbed mine this time guiding me to the bed. 

An intruder?

''Don't worry the lord his men will deal with him. We should stay here out of their way. Casey will come for us when the problem has been dissolved.'' As we both sat down she started to caress my hands, but instead of using it to comfort me it seemed like she was trying to calm herself. 

''Who is the intruder?'' Even though stumbling on this matter I didn't feel restless or endangered. Yet her eyes held so much fear.

She saw who it was...

''W-We don't know, but .....it's somebody strong.'' 

Somebody strong? An...Orignal? Don't tell me one of those Royals came?! They know our location already so it's only normal to assume it's one of them.

''We shouldn't stay here! We need to do some-''

''No, Please....if anything happens to you the lord will kill us all. We need to stay here.''

''Stay here and just do noth-'' I couldn't finish my sentence knowing how her eyes suddenly started to widen. Her body started to tremble while her hands clutched onto her skirt.
