Side Story 4: Welcome Back

I kept on telling myself a year will pass by quickly. Whenever Jungkook and I talked and he told me he missed me, I would smile and say.

"Before you know it I'm back."

Yet it felt like a lifetime. Both of us were confident about visiting occasionally and calling each other every day, but we were wrong. One year turned into two and the times we began to talk and see one another shortened. 

After the vampire species got known to the world it became chaos. Jungkook was swamped with work being unable to even put out a simple call. The most time we had was 10 minutes to talk to one another. Besides that, I have been traveling from place to place with Doyun. It was fascinating to meet other people like me, it felt....like I was no longer alone. I was able to teach them a lot and learn quite a lot myself since this was still all unfamiliar to me as well. The more I got to know about our kind, the more mesmerized I got.

I thought necromancers were equal to some evil witches, but the truth is. We are like shamans. Taking care of people, protecting them, curing them.

Nue just misused her powers.....

It was crazy to think what heartbreak....anger can do to people.

And so our long and draining days passed by, but it's all over now...

I felt nostalgia build inside of me, looking at all the familiar signs. The smell of the airport and all the people walking past me.

It felt like....home.

The first thing I did was scurry off into the crowd of people. Dragging my suitcase along with me like a crazy person, in the hope of seeing that one particular person.

Where is he?

Just I was going to walk away I felt it. A pair of eyes glued onto me from the side.

My heart started to pick up its pace, letting me know that it was indeed him. Turning around I expected something like a big smile on his face once our eyes would meet, but that wasn't the case. The smile that grew on my face quickly pulled back and my heart scrunched tightly. 

His eyes were bloodshot and wide, while tears were slowly dripping down his cheeks. His lips weren't curved into a smile, they were trembling. 

''J-Jungkook.'' Why is he crying?

It was a sight I had never seen before. Even though we have been through some crazy stuff. Not once did Jungkook his emotions waver this badly. So my mind instantly started to switch into a panic. 

Did something happen? Did someone get hurt or.....die.

I was quick to step toward him but his actions made me even more confused. He stepped away shaking his head as he bit his lip.

''W-Wai-'' He wasn't even able to finish his word while he covered his eyes turning his body away from me.

He....is not happy to see me..?

''Y/N!'' I could hear Jooha her voice loud and clear coming from the side, but Jungkook his appearance was all I could think about.

''Gosh, and you said you wouldn't cry.'' It was Namgi this time. My eyes left Jungkook his sight for a moment, allowing me to take a glimpse of Namgi and Jooha that had arrived by my sight.

Taesung is here too.

''L-Leave.'' Jungkook his words came out sobbing but the thing he said made my heart sting. 

He wants me to leave?

''We will, geez!'' Namgi was quick to reply before pulling me into a tight embrace.
