Jaemin couldn't help but overthink everything that had just happened, he was so close to telling her but something stopped him, his fear of her rejecting his royal status or her abusing it. He wanted to be sure that she wouldn't do that, he had to be sure that she wouldn't leave because he had been only wanted for his status.

He began to take a look around her house while he had nothing else to do, he went upstairs, noticing there were only four doors. One led to a pale white themed room that didn't have much personality to it and since it was the door closest to the stairs he thought it must have been the guest bedroom.

There was another door opposite it which led to the bathroom that had a working shower, toilet and sink,  surrounded by pale white walls and beautiful light pink tiles that almost looked as if they were crystals.

The next-door he got to, opened to a neat and tidy room that looked like it was hardly used, it was odd because they had a spare bedroom so why did this one look like it was used less than the spare one.

"I didn't take you to be a snooper Nana."

Jaemin jolted, spinning around to find a laughing Haneul that had come up behind him while he was focused on the room.

"That's my older brothers room, he's not home much and my cousin stayed over a couple of weeks ago so that's why the spare bedroom looks more used than this one."

She giggled.

It was as if she had read his mind completely.

"How did you know I was thinking that?"

He asked as her giggles subsided and were quickly replaced by a bright smile.

"Because that's what I think everyone thinks when they snoop around my house, you're not the only one. My landlord does it all the time, especially when my brother stays for a month. But that hasn't happened in more than a year so yeah. Do you have any siblings?"

She casually blabbered on, only stopping when she was waiting for his reply.

"No, I don't but I wanted a sister but my mother, unfortunately, couldn't have any more children after my birth."

He replied, remembering his mother's words when she had yet another miscarriage when he was four.

"Awh that's so sad, you must have been a pretty lonely child when growing up, I couldn't imagine not having my brother and cousins when growing up."

Her facial expression softened as she brought her eyes up to his.

"It's okay, I just plan on having loads of kids instead..."

He began to say, his eyes moving onto her, looking her up and down before advancing on her, this made Haneul gulp as she backed away before her back crashed against her bedroom door. The more he came closer to her the tinier she felt in comparison and she didn't know how long she would last if he carried on provoking her.

"Nana, don't come any closer, you know what I just said now...stop it."

"Well, I'm not the one thinking about having kids with me, you are which means you're wanting to."

He stated, caging her in between his arms once again making her blush bright red.

"I-I t-think y-you should go. You're distracting me from my work-"

"Are you sure? because I remember someone saying she's not working."

He whispered as their faces were drawing closer and closer.

"Nana... I have to cook dinner as well...I don't have time for this...if you want to do this tell me your name"

After an hour or two, Haneul found herself standing next to Nana as he cut the vegetables for the Christmas dinner they were going to have together

After an hour or two, Haneul found herself standing next to Nana as he cut the vegetables for the Christmas dinner they were going to have together. He ended up doing the same thing again as he had done earlier on so they decided to make the Christmas dinner together to put that behind them. But Haneul couldn't help but think about what he had teased her about, having kids with him, like that just made her thoughts go in that direction.

She shook her head for the fifth time while she stood next to him. She couldn't cut anything because of her hand, she had even struggled to carry everything she had got from her ingredient storage at her cafe. Her mind was going completely wild while she just watched him chop the vegetables.

"So do you normally spend Christmas day alone?"

That was the question that snapped her thoughts shut tight, her attention was brought to his face from the cutting board.

"I- umm Yeah I do, I mean my family aren't really close to me and my brother, only my dad's brother, hence why I'm close to my cousins and no other family."

She explained, looking down at her hands, having begun to feel the loneliness that she would have felt if he hadn't shown up.

"Haneul, you don't have to be alone anymore, you can call me anytime."

He reassured, smiling down at her sweetly when she looked up at him. She returned the smile before giving him an unexpected side hug. Jaemin was surprised at first but after putting the knife down he didn't hesitate to engulf her with a loving hug, bringing her close to his chest while caressing her hair with his hand. Haneul could hear his heartbeat as her ear was pressed up against his chest, her eyes closed as she soaked up his warmth and listened to his heartbeat while they began to sway side to side.

After a while, they separated.

"We should get our food ready otherwise we won't be eating today."

He announced, turning back to the food as she nodded in response.

"Yeah, I'm really starving right now that I'm slowly wasting away."
