Mild references to violence!
"You think someone's after you?"
Haneul nodded as the two of them sat around her dining table with three mugs of coffee, Jisung being absent because he was still in the shower.
"Yeah, I can't tell you everything because it's against the law but everything will make sense eventually. But the cafe being set alight isn't a coincidence, and I'm scared now that I'm without Nana, they'll come for me and burn my house down next."
Haneul stressed, looking over at the younger female with scared eyes which made the young female smirk. Haneul froze as the younger female pulled out a metallic object that she pointed directly over at Haneul.
"I guess you have good guessing skills but it's a shame that we have to do it a different way, you know too much Haneul and that's your biggest failure. Now I have no choice but to do this the violent way."
"Miyoung..."
Haneul couldn't believe what was happening right in front of her, the girl she considered a younger sister, the younger sister she was just worried about just under an hour ago.
"Now tell me Lee, what is the identity of the Prince or i'll blow your fucking brains out."
Haneul sighed and looked over at Miyoung with teary eyes.
"Is Jisung involved with this?"
She asked, her heart breaking at the thought of the both of them ganging up against her, leaving her defenceless and a mere tool to their own plan.
"Yes, we've been planning this for weeks, but we never thought we would have to go against you to get what we want, It's what the boss wants so."
Haneul felt the hot tears trickle down her pale cheeks as her whole world collapsed right in front of her.
"What do you want with the Prince?"
She muttered, feeling the numbness begin to kick in, the feeling that she was very much used to.
"We want to stop him from finding his gemstone before the next full moon, we heard that his coronation has been set up for then, so we want him so that he can't become as powerful as his mother. So I have a hunch that he has already found it, that's why they have set up the coronation ceremony so soon."
Miyoung explained the fact that she was right ultimately made Haneul sink further into her seat, she couldn't let any information out because they would either end up killing her or worse, Jaemin. She couldn't let that happen.
"What makes you think I know what the Prince looks like? What if I know nothing and you've just wasted your undercover mission on an innocent girl?"
Haneul questioned back making Miyoung raise an eyebrow.
"Then I would have to shoot you, it's an easy cover-up and since we are so close to your family we could just make up a lie saying that you up and left real easy."
Haneul sighed.
"I suppose that's easy, but what if I just said that I didn't know anything but I actually did and you just wasted another good thing. But I guess it's up to you what you would rather do, shoot me and risk losing info or keep me alive and I actually know nothing?"
Haneul counteracted, she felt the fear and betrayal slowly fade away as the numb feeling filled the void. Miyoung didn't say anything when Jisung entered the room with the same metallic pistol clearly visible in the front pocket of his jeans.
Haneul felt the tinge of fear creep up on her as Jisungs aura had completely changed, if a stare could break someone's bones, it would sure be this stare that he was giving her.
"We'd just have to beat it out of you then Noona."
Haneul gulped but she hadn't completely lost hope as her hands were busy out of view texting her boyfriend through a very long voice message that she had been recording once Miyoung had pointed her gun at her. She stopped it and sent it before clicking off her phone and slipping it into her seat cushion, without any of them noticing.
"After everything we've done together, I took you two in and this is how you repay me-"
"It meant nothing to us."
Miyoung spat before Jisung grabbed Haneul by the hair and dragged her down to her basement which had only been used as a coffee storage unit. He pushed her down the staircase before Miyoung shot her in the calve.
The pain was numbed by the strong numbness that Haneul was already succumbed to but that didn't stop the metallic liquid from oozing out like a waterfall.
"Now escaping isn't an option, I guess you can enjoy your life until you bleed to death."
And with that, they locked her down in the darkness of her basement.
She felt the tears finally whelm up while the pain of her gunshot wound finally kicked in as she crawled over to the wall, it was intoxicating but she felt like she deserved it, maybe this was the way she would die. A couple of months ago she would have just let them beat her but the beating of her heart was different to the one that beat months ago- it beat for him.
'I can't die here- If I'm destined to die then it'll be next to him.'
She encouraged herself before looking around to take in her surroundings, but there was nothing but bags of coffee. The tears whelmed up as her worst fears began to come to life, the darkness had engulfed her and she was going to die in it.
"Nana...I'm sorry...I shouldn't leave you this soon...but I might not make it."
She whispered as she ripped some of the fabric off her dress that she had decided to put on this morning and tightly wrapped it around her wound to try and stop the bleeding. Her whole body was bruised from the fall and her arm looked out of place, but the pain from her other injuries was nothing to the added gunshot wound.
"Hopefully this buys me some time."
