Haneul had just had a tour of the part of the palace she would be working in and was finally in her kitchen that was soon gonna be filled with staff that were going to be taking out her delicious food to all the important people of society. She looked around the kitchen in an attempt to get used to her surroundings but she still felt the nerves build up inside of her. She just needed to bake the hot food while serving the cold alternatives that she had already pre made with Miyoung.

"Just breathe, we've done events before...just nothing this big. But we aren't the only ones doing this gig."

She reassured herself before brushing down her apron and adjusting her tied up hair, she then got to work, sorting out the premade mixes from the premade food. She then began to plate up the premade pastries and savouries onto platters before covering them up with glass coverers.

"Oh, you're in here, great who gave you the second-best Kitchen in this whole place."

An unfamiliar male scoffed from the doorway, she looked at him with a smile as she would normally do to unhappy customers. But his remained the same straight, blank expression that it was when he entered.

"Can you move Kitchens, this is mine."

He demanded, walking up to her as she was slicing a sun bun open so that she could toast them with fancy cheese later.

"I-I can't sir, I've just spent two hours sorting things out and it would be time-consuming if I did. And besides, I was assigned this Kitchen."

She calmingly stated, continuing to slice the sun buns for tonight. But the man huffed before shoving her over causing her to clash against the sink side beside her, the knife ended up cutting her hand.

"JUST GET OUT, YOU'RE WASTING MY TIME BITCH!"

He roared as she grabbed her hand that was in agonising pain, metallic blood oozing out of it.

"HEY! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"

Donghyuck roared back at the male from the doorway, causing them both to jump, the male froze.

"Donghyuck, s-she was in my kitchen, why did you get a peasant girl like her to do the appetizers?"

He asked, trying to brush off the whole situation, which didn't work at all.

"Get out, Guards get him out. He's fired."

He ordered.

"B-But you can't do that, only the Prince or King can-"

"You'll be sentenced to death if the Prince finds out about this so I suggest you leave before I punch the living shit out of you for hurting MY SISTER!"

He yelled, making the man's face drop.

"What's going on- Haneul! Your hand, it's bleeding."

Jeno asked, just walking into the room after hearing the commotion. He rushed over to her before dragging her gently out of the room.

"Get rid of him Donghyuck before Jaemin finds out, or you could let him find him, so he can rot in jail..."

Haneul began to feel dizzy due to the blood loss, the cut was deep and caved a crescent moon right across the middle of her left hand. But as she heard the muffled conversation between the three men in the room she fell forward before blacking out as she hit the ground.

Jaemin was sat on his throne, right next to his parents as a butler went through the list of royal families that were attending the party later that evening

Jaemin was sat on his throne, right next to his parents as a butler went through the list of royal families that were attending the party later that evening. Jaemin was trying his hardest to pay attention but his mind always seem to drift to his precious gem that he didn't want to leave this morning. He was wearing his crown that irritated and weighed down his head, but the thought of her eased the weight and lifted him up.

"JAEMIN!"

Jeno rushed in through the grande doors that were ahead of him, he was panting and sweating as he had just run through the whole castle trying to find him. He walked up to them, interrupting the butler.

"Jen, can't it wait-"

"It's Haneul, she...fainted after an incident with a chef that resulted in her hand being cut open, she's in the infirmary."

Jeno announced, trying to regain his breath. Jaemin shot up, dumping his crown on his seat before rushing off to the infirmary where Jeno had just come from which was on the other side of Palace. He didn't stop even once, ducking and avoiding anything that came into his path without a care in the world.

He rushed into the infirmary, completely out of breath.

"J-Jaemin, you didn't need to come."

Haneul spoke, her hand had been patched up and her cut had been glued closed as there was no need for stitches luckily. She had just regained consciousness and was about to take some medication before Jaemin burst in. He put his hand up so he could catch his breath, moving closer to her.

"Of course I did, I was worried about you Love, what happened?"

He asked, fully regaining his breath, grabbing her injured hand gently as though it were made of glass that could break at any moment.

"I was cutting buns for tonight and this chef walked in and started ordering me about, saying that I had to move Kitchens. So I politely told him I couldn't and I was assigned that room. He then shoved me and the knife went sliding into my hand as I collided with the sink."

She explained, getting annoyed at herself at how she let the guy walk all over her and now she couldn't carry on with her day due to her hand being injured. She looked away as Jaemin was fixated on her injured hand.

"Luckily I finished all the preparations for tonight, I just need to cut a few buns up and that's it before plating them with cheese and sauces."

She furthered, looking back at Jaemin who was now looking directly at her. She sighed, looking down at her lap as the feeling of defeat took a hold of her.

"I'll help you finish Han, We can deal with this together okay."

He reassured, kissing her injured hand gently before smiling up at her as she sat on the bed of the infirmary.

"Okay, let's do it then."
