"This is so exciting, Are you going alone or do you need backup?"

Miyoung asked as she helped pack the good boxes in preparation for the new years eve event. Haneul hadn't really anticipated bringing anyone as she thought she could handle it on her own, she wouldn't be the only cater there. She would have all the help she needed.

"I heard they have that really famous Chinese chef coming to do the main buffet, isn't that awesome. Jisung actually wanted to take me all the way to Shanghai to eat at his main restaurant, but that man is hella expensive. You'll be working with the rich and famous Unnie."

She blabbered on as Haneul nodded in response.

You see Haneul wasn't allowed to tell anyone that wasn't a part of her family or a part of her staff team, she desperately wanted to tell Nana the good news but she would be breaking the law if she did. To make matters worse, Nana wasn't responding to her texts but at least she couldn't tell him that way.

"Haneul? are you still here?"

Haneul snapped back to reality causing Miyoung to sigh heavily but smiled, she knew that Haneul was thinking about that guy she kept on seeing her with on her breaks. So she would let it slide as she knew Haneul needed someone in her life and she had been the exact same with Jisung when they first met.

"Y-yeah all of this just keeps me in a daze, like I never thought I would ever go to the palace so, I'm just in amazement and trying to comprehend it."

She half lied before the ring of her phone brought their conversation to a close and led her to her office in the back.

*Incoming call from 💖Nana 💖*

"Hi Nana, I was starting to wonder where you went?"

She answered, feeling the warm sensation fill her whole body.

"Hi Princess, I'm sorry my work is kinda hectic right now because it's New years and all."

He spoke softly, her cheeks tinted pink at the pet name he had just given her.

"I-It's okay, don't worry about it. So what made you call me just before closing time?"

She asked, her heart pounding against her ribcage as she still felt her knees become weak just from his sweet voice.

"I just missed your voice, that's all, am I not allowed to just call you whenever beautiful?"

If her heart could have leapt out of her chest, it sure would have done then. Her inside felt like goo as well as the rest of her existence.

"I missed yours too, a lot actually."

She admitted, smiling to herself as he chuckled on the other line.

"So what are you doing this weekend?"

He asked.

She sighed, knowing she couldn't tell him.

"I'm working an important event for New years. What about you?"

She questioned, curious as to why he was asking and what he was up to.

"I'm doing something similar actually, it's sad we both are working and can't get out of huh."

Jaemin sighed as Haneul began to collect her things ready to leave.

"Yeah, maybe we should meet up on the Monday after, I know this really good restaurant around the corner that sells-"

"Are you asking me on a date Princess?"

He asked mischievously and even though she couldn't see his face she knew he was smirking, knowing that her face would be bright red, and in fact, it was very much so.

"W-what i-if I-I am? Yes or no?"

She stammered back before hearing a cackling laugh from the other side.

"H-hey DON'T LAUGH AT ME YOU!-"

"You're so cute Haneul, and of course, I would love to."

He replied, smiling to himself as he was bubbling with excitement, he actually called her to ask that exact thing but she managed to ask first which he was quite thankful for once again.

"Okay well, I'll see you the-"

She pushed open the cafe door and there he was, standing there with a wide grin on his face with his phone pressed up against his ear as she had. He was wrapped up warm with a long puffy coat that had a hood of an Eskimo while combining it with a white scarf that swallowed his neck and chin, engulfing it in its warmth. While she only had a thin jacket and gloves as she wasn't quite equipped for the cold nights, having not intended on staying for that long after closing.

She hung up, stuffing her phone into her pocket before engulfing him in her not so warm embrace.

"Nana, what are you doing here so late?"

She asked, soaking up his warmth as she now started to feel the cold night air pricking at her skin from underneath her thin jacket, making her shiver ever so slightly.

"I missed you, as I already said but I should ask you the same thing, It's freezing and you're out in a thin jacket? What are you thinking Haneul?"

He asked, voice full of concern as he pulled her now shivering body against his. He quickly untucked his scarf from his own neck and wrapped it around hers before unzipping his coat to take it off. But before he could she hugged his frame from inside the coat to soak up more of his warmth.

"You're so warm, can we just stay like this forever Nana?"

She asked muffled by the scarf, pressing their bodies together even further so that there was no space between them as he chuckled, engulfing her into a tight hug.

"Can I just cuddle a little more?...I'll be fine, you keep your coat... my warmth battery will be full soon...my house is just around the...corner..."

She added, her eyelids becoming droopy, feeling the comfort of his warmth far too comfortable to resist after a full day's work.

"Come on Princess, it's late and I know you're tired, so let's get you home and tucked up in bed."

He ushered, beginning to waddle with her still in his arms making her do the same but backwards. She refused to let go so they ended up waddling all the way to her house, with her eyes completely closed at this point.

"Beautiful, we have made it you can let go and go inside into the warmth of your house."

He announced, but she shook her head in refusal like a little toddler.

"Come with me to bed, you're the perfect pillow."
