As soon as my alarm for the morning goes off I sleepily start getting ready for work. Today I'm opening and Claire's coming in later since she has a therapy appointment.

I walk out and smell coffee and a hint of cinnamon, I get to the kitchen and Claire's sitting on the counter with a cup of coffee and there's tiktoks playing from her phone.

She's definitely a morning person. "Good morning roomie, how was that sleep?" She asks. I give her a thumbs up as I pour myself a cup of coffee and just drink it black.

After a couple cups I finally have a pep in my step so I grab everything I'll need for work and my keys "I'll see you at work" I shout behind me leaving.

I get down there and Shawn's standing against his car swirling his keys around "uh hey, good morning?" I look at him confused. "Well I thought I'd let you save gas today and just drive you to work" he says.

"Oh uh thanks" I say as I get closer. "And it would also save me gas since I'd be coming to get coffee later anyways" he adds. "Uh huh well I appreciate the ride then" I say.

His smile brightens as I get closer "and I appreciate the coffee you make" he says. "It's sorta my job but thank you" I reply. "I uh I liked last night by the way, I needed a drive around the city like that" I add.

"Oh of course, if you wanna do that again sometime let me know" he replies. He opens the door for me after we finish talking, he quietly plays the radio while we continue talking.

While he's driving I notice his hand is just laying there so I grab it gently and hold it. He adjusts it so it's way more comfortable for the both of our hands.

I sneakily take a photo and send it to claire with 'he was outside when I got down to my car, he's dropping me off'. She takes a bit to reply so I edit it a bit before putting it in my crafted tweets.

"So what's your go to date?" He asks. I look at him and he's focused on the road "mmmm a dinner, something fun and then drive around or just dinner at home with a movie" I answer. He nods "that sounds fun, when are you off next?" He asks.

My schedule is pretty dead I have a few classes this week but I work when I'm not in class except for Sunday which is in 2 days. "Sunday I'm free" I answer. He nods and his thumbs rubs the back of my hands gently "okay that sounds good, I'll pick you up sunday morning uh you should wear something comfy but pack something nice" he replies.

I nod biting the inside of my lip feeling excited "okay, uh what time should I be ready?" I ask. "Does 10am work?" He asks. I nod seeing as I'm usually fully awake by 9 "yeah it sure does" I reply.

About 15 minutes later we're parked outside of the shop. "Can I come in or do I wait out here?" He asks. "I'm sure claire wouldn't care if you came in and watched" I reply.

He helps me with a few things before I make him a drink from the menu. "So how far into the menu are you?" I ask. "Mmm about a third" he answers. "Uh huh so when you're done are you done coming here?" I ask.

"No of course not then I'll narrow it down to my favourite drink and for life I'll come here and get that drink" he says. My phone buzzes in my back pocket, I take a quick glance to see that sage has messaged me.

I swipe it away and put my phone back in my pocket "so what are your other plans for the day?" I ask him curiously. "My business class in an hour and I work from 3-11 after that" he answers.

Feeling nosy I ask him what he does. He's a manager and bartender at a club that I've only ever been to once but he's getting a business degree to open his own bar. "That's awesome" I reply.

He leaves a few minutes later after i give him a tight hug. My phone buzzes again, its claire finally replying but with a voice message.

"Holy shit that's so cute! I'm on my way there" she shouts. I laugh replying with a gif of a kid dancing and I start making drinks for a crowd of college students that just walked in.

The day goes by far too quick and since I was dropped off I just hop into Claire's car. "I'm getting us food on the way" she says. I sit back and let her take us wherever.

She ends up at chipotle and we go inside, I get a burrito bowl with chicken, white rice, lettuce, salsa and sour cream, cheese and a big side of guacamole with chips.

We end up eating the chips and guac on the way home. Shawn texted me telling me that its busy there and that he's tired. We text back and forth before 11pm reaches and he tells me hes going home.

About half an hour later the buzzer is going off. I stand up confused and hold the speaker "hello?" I ask. "Hey its shawn" he says. "Oh uh come on up" I reply. I let him up and by time he is up here claire is in bed.

He sits down next to me and looks at me tiredly "why'd you come here?" I ask. "Just wanted to see you" he replies. I try not to blush but end up failing "that's sweet" I reply.

"You saw me this morning" I add. He chuckles "I know but I wanted to see someone other than people at the club" he says. "That's fair" I reply.

I look at him and he looks at me before smiling "what?" He asks. "Nothin" I whisper. He smiles "your eyes are beautiful" he whispers. "They're brown like poop" I reply.

He shakes his head "nooo when the sun hits them just right they're pools of honey" he says. I pout "you're so sweet" I whisper sitting up and looking into his forest green eyes.

"If it's fine I'm going to kiss you" I say. He chuckles right before I connect our lips and i can tell he smiles into this before kissing back.

I move slightly and just end up moving onto his lap facing him. He pulls away for a few seconds just to breath "you're good at that" I comment. He chuckles rubbing my back gently "you're not so bad yourself" he says.

We end up moving to my bed and cuddling for a bit before falling asleep. Claire is opening in the morning so I don't have to be there for a few hours after she gets there.

My phone was buzzing all night every so often but I ignored it all.... until the morning.
