chapt 7

My body woke me up around 7am so I decided to go on a run, i run about 2 miles before running back. Claire's still asleep when i get back so I just hop in the shower and get myself a bit ready.

I pack a duffle bag of clothes and my makeup bag since we won't get a chance to come back here. I put my hair in braids while it dries naturally and I make breakfast and a french press full of coffee.

While I wait for shawn i sit on the counter sipping coffee and scrolling through twitter. Claire comes in with her hair messy "coffee me women" she says holding her mug.

As I pour the coffee in she adds the sugar and a splash of creamer. "I heard you leave and come back, what was that about?" She asks. "Went for a run that's it" I reply. "Nice, what time is he coming?" She asks.

I check the time and its 9:30. "Half an hour" I answer. "You nervous?" She asks. I shrug "slightly but I'm looking forward to what he has planned" I answer.

We talk for a bit before the buzzer goes off, I go over to it and buzz him up. He knocks lightly and both of us tell him to come in. "Good morning" he greets us.

He comes inside and pulls me in for a side hug, I smile hugging him "good morning shawn" I whisper. "Mmm coffee, can i have a sip?" He asks. I giggle "I'll just make you your own silly" i say before making him one.

Claire heads off to open the shop and i sit on the counter with him standing beside me. "So what do you have planned for us?" I ask. "Have you had breakfast?" He asks. "I had toast but that was about an hour ago" I answer.

He nods "okay, I'll take you to my favourite breakfast spot" he says. "Oooh really? Is everything else a surprise?" I ask. He nods turning towards me and standing in between my legs.

"Yeah, spending all day on multiple dates" he says. I nod "okay that sounds fun" I reply. "I uh really like you kai" he says. I fail to stop myself from blushing "I like you too shawn" I reply.

We talk for a little bit and even kiss a little before going off to his favourite breakfast diner. We have a nice breakfast before just driving around the city, we stop off at the shop for coffee and a random drink for him.

The day goes by and 6pm hits, at 4pm we came to his place. It's not far from the coffee shop which makes sense. I changed and got ready while he did a bit of his school work and then got ready.

He drives off to a small family run italian restaurant, we get seated in a booth. "They have free bread with garlic butter, I worked here when I first started bartending" he says.

While dinner is going on i can feel my phone buzzing, he goes off to the bathroom and I take a quick look at my phone.

A few texts from claire, a couple from my sister, one from my mom and a couple from sage.

I ignore it and text the others back. He comes back and we go back to talking. Dinner goes by far too quick so we end up just driving around the city for a bit before going back to his place.

While I change into something comfortable he goes to the bathroom and changes as well. "Want anything sweet? I have ice cream" he asks coming back into his room. "Oh sure I could go for some ice cream" I reply.

As he's grabbing the ice cream I sit on the counter "do you want any toppings? I have peanut butter, chocolate syrup, uh I might have sprinkles" he asks. I smile "uh peanut butter please" I reply. He smiles and hands me the pint of vanilla ben and Jerry's ice cream with the jar of peanut butter.

I take a tiny spoonful of peanut butter and mix it in with the ice cream. "Is that actually tasty?" He asks. I nod with a smile "yeah I've had it since a kid" I reply.

He takes a spoonful for himself and nods in approval "yeah you're right" he says. I smile happily "see babe I told you!" I say. He smiles "you called me babe" he says.

"Oh uh are we not there yet?" I ask. He shakes his head "no but we can be I didn't mind hearing it" he says moving closer. "Yeah?" I ask. He nods "yeah" he replies.

We end up making out, he lifts me up off the counter and I wrap my legs around him. He carries me over to his room and lays me right on the bed.

Before anything happens I look at him "wait uh before we do anything I just want to clarify that we're not seeing or sleeping with anyone else" I start. "I'm not interested in anyone else" he says. I nod "okay go on then" I say. He chuckles before leaning down and kissing my neck.

After this night we see each other every other day and weeks, even months start to go by and he has yet to be tired of me and my working and going to school.

Sage disappeared after a week of trying to tell her that I'm with someone. She still tweets but she just doesn't message me or any of our friends.

It's all okay I suppose.
