Chapt 24

The two weeks go by and the virus seems to get worse so we are doing online schooling, it's difficult to do but I enjoy not having to change out of pajama pants.

I try my best to work one on one with the students so they aren't struggling with learning on line. Both of our countries will be extending the stay at home order.

Claire's been working every single day making sure the coffee shop is running and Joseph has also been working so it's just me home and I don't leave the house. If we need groceries we get it delivered or they pick it up curb side on the way home.

Sage and I video chat almost everyday, she's also working from home and doesn't leave her house. Not being able to physically see the people you love is getting to be extremely difficult. I just want to see her.

This class finishes and I close zoom for the day and go onto twitter messaging sage. She just woke up from her nap so we videochat while I make something small to eat. I think claire is picking up dumplings, sushi, eggrolls and rangoons for dinner so I'm excited.

"Hey love" sage says. I smile looking at her "hi beautiful" I reply. She smiles and we talk about our day and yesterday since we didn't get a chance to videochat. "How long do you think we'll have to wait?" She asks.

My mind tries to be as positive as possible and I smile "not long hopefully, oooh maybe the summer" I reply wiggling my eyebrows. She smiles looking excited "yeah! I'd love to visited California during the summer" she says.

I smile enjoying the way she says California and how she speaks, her accent just pulls me in everytime I hear it. "And I'm off so I'd have your full attention" I say popping a fry into my mouth.

She smirks to herself and we move on just being our weird selves. Claire comes through the door while I'm on the couch talking with sage. "Claire's home with dinner" I tell her. She yawns looking at her watch "it's late here I should sleep" she says.

"Yes babe go to sleep" I tell her. "Okay my love good night" she says blowing me a kiss and leaving. I smile and leave after, claire looks at me with a smirk "you're such a simp" she says.

I flip her off taking the food from her and putting it on the kitchen counter. We sit at the island eating it and talking, Joseph comes in part way through so theres enough for him left.

He kisses Claire's head before going and changing "how was work babe?" She asks him. "Good! I think I pulled something in my back when I picked up a box" he says coming back in.

While they talk I manage to tune them out and finish what i was eating. I refill my water glass before plopping back onto the couch for the rest of the night. I go to my room around midnight and fall asleep peacefully.

My alarm wakes me up and I quickly get ready for another day of doing class over zoom and sage messages me telling me how bored she is at work. I chug my coffee right before joining the zoom class and waiting for the students.

The whole day goes by quickly and I feel bored so I decide to go on a run. I run a couple miles before running back and going straight to the shower washing all of the sweat off my body.

I send a selfie to sage and she replies with a heart eyes emoji and a heart. "Ugh I love her" I whisper to myself. I throw on an over sized shirt and my pajama pants plopping on my bed. For about an hour I scroll on tiktok sending a few to sage and a few to claire.

A few seconds after sending one to claire I can hear her laughing in the kitchen. I sit up not realizing that she is home now. "Hey I didnt know you were home" i say. "Oh yeah! Harrison isn't sick anymore so he came to take over for the rest of the night" she says.

We end up making chicken strips and fries for dinner before Joseph comes home with pizza and wings "oh I didnt know you'd make something" he says. "Oh I'm starving its fine" I tell him grabbing a slice of cheese pizza.

He chuckles shaking his head and kissing claire on the top of her head. "What are we doing this fine Friday night?" He asks. "Mmmm getting drunk" I say holding my white claw.

Claire got alcohol delivered since she forgot to pick something up. "Awesome, we got beer?" He asks. I give him a thumbs up and he nods grabbing a beer and removing the top with his teeth. I cringe and he looks at me confused "what?" He asks.

"That's bad for your teeth" I tell him. He rolls his eyes and just digs into the pizza. My phone buzzes and I look at it with raised eyebrows. Sage can't sleep so I put my earbuds in and join the voice chat.

We voice chat while I eat and I try to get her back to sleep and then she starts mumbling about wanting to visit during the summer. I giggle smiling to myself "babe go to sleep" I tell her. "Ok my love" she whispers sleepily. "I love you" she says.

My heart thumps and I smile like a teenager "I love you too" I reply. That's a first. She leaves right after and I let out a happy sigh, they both look at me with raised eyebrows "what was that?" Claire asks.

"Just love" I reply before taking a bite of the wing. We end up playing a drinking game with the show we're watching and I fall asleep on the couch after they had already gone to sleep.

This is something I never thought I'd be going through but here I am.
