Chapt 37

Give me your thoughts please

The very last week went by quick, I fell asleep before I could think of what to say to sage and I just haven't figured out a way to beg for her back without having to seem desperate.

Currently I'm getting the class room ready for the last day. I brought a bunch of different things for each class to do and we are finishing the movies that they chose.

"I brought you a coffee" the principal says. "Oh my uh thank you" I smile looking at it. "Of course, at the end of the day come by my office there's some transfer paperwork we have to finish" she says. I nod "okay I will" I reply.

She leaves after giving me a thumbs up and I wait for the students to show up. The first buzzer goes and I wait outside the class. A few students come running up "hi miss kai!" They say before going in and seeing their desks with more treats.

The rest of them come in spurts and I wait for them to calm down. "Its the last day! How is everyone doing?" I ask them. "Good!" They say together.

"Can we do our positives for the week? Why don't you start Levi" I say. He nods and starts talking about his soccer games he's had. They go on and I listen with a smile and I talk about helping claire.

She decided on the dress and picked it up yesterday, it's in the spare bedrooms closet so he doesn't try to sneak a look at it. She said if I decide to move back in with sage after we talk I should take it until the wedding day. As maid of honour I agree.

After talking for a few minutes I put on their movie and they finish it right before the bell. A few of them rush out saying bye to me on their way out and a couple give me a hug before meeting their parent outside. "Bye you guys" I say to the last few. The moms wave bye and I gather everything I brought and I go over to the office.

She greets me and then hands me a package. "It's just the farewell package, these are the transfer forms" she says holding a small stack.

It takes me a few minutes to sign it all and then she tells me to have a good time at the new school and I leave. To prevent any crying I quickly put everything in my trunk and drive off.

Claire's still at work so I drive over, it's just her and Harrison and someone new they hired. Harrison makes my drink and brings it over to me in the corner. "How are you holding up?" He asks.

"As good as I can" I reply. He sits across from me "and you're living with claire again?" He asks. I nod "yeah I found a place I'm just waiting" I say.

We talk for a little bit before he goes back to working. I sit on my phone for a bit, I'm just going to hangout here until she's done. I know that seems like awhile but I need to be away from the apartment.

I look over at claire and she is cleaning the machine as I look down the bell above the door goes and then I hear her talking to a quiet voice.

My phone buzzes in my hands and I look down, my mom asking if I want to get breakfast tomorrow. I tell her I'll see how feel later and then I see feet infront of me.

"Hi" the voice says. I look up and my heart starts thumping "Oh I- uh hi" I reply sitting up feeling awkward. "I think now is a good time to talk" she says.

Dispite being scared of whatever this is I nod in agreement "yeah uh take a seat" I say offering the seat infront of me. She nods and sits down with her iced coffee.

I look at her and she hasn't changed a bit, still the women I love. Yeah I still love her. Always will. "So I just want to say, I am sorry for running out and pushing you away" she starts.
