Chapt 27

After looking sage up and down again I hug her tightly never wanting to let her go. "I can't believe you surprised me like this" I whisper. "I almost told you a few times while i was in quarentine" she replies. "So you've been here for 2 weeks already?" I ask.

She nods "yes, since I had to quarantine the visitors visa starts now" she says. "How long are you here for?" I ask. "A month" she replies. My heart thumps feeling excited, the summer just got a lot better "well we've got a lot to do" I say.

After I realize that I have to pack up the classroom she helps me out and we stuff everything I bought in my trunk and we start driving. "Wait, are you hungry?" I ask her.

Just a few seconds later I hear a grumble coming from her stomach "uh yeah I think so" she laughs. I try my best not to laugh as she giggles and holds my hand as I drive. "Ok uh what type of food are you in the mode for?" I ask her. "I've never tried chipotle" she replies.

I nod driving to the nearest one "this is feeding my addiction" I tell her. She smirks "not sorry" she says pecking my lips and getting out. Before I could get myself out she has my door open "my love" she says.

"How sweet" I reply getting out, she closes the door for me and grabs my hand as we walk into chipotle. We wait in line and just talk quietly between us. "So how'd you pull the surprise off? I'm normally hard to surprise" I ask her.

She smiles before answering "I contacted claire and she helped a bit" she answer. Behind my mask I make a pouty face and I feel my neck starting to get warm when I feel her arm around my waist.

We're next in line and she makes me go first so she has a little bit of time to think of what she wants in her bowl. I told her about the hack of getting a few tortillas or taco shells on the side so we should have meals for a couple days.

I get white rice, lettuce, chicken and steak with corn and regular salsa, sour cream and for extra some guac. She gets almost the same but just steak. "Should we get chips and guac?" She asks. "Oooh yes! I've also stocked up on tortilla chips at home" I whisper.

We get our food and I drive us home, on the way there we jam out to music, we're about 10 minutes from home when the music stops playing from my phone and claire is calling. I answer right away "hey" I answer. "Joseph's wondering if you want pizza and wings or taco bell for dinner" she says.

"Actually I got chipotle on my way, I also picked someone up and she's coming to stay with us for a month" I answer. "Huh? That's weird of you kai" she says. "She's real cute too" I reply smirking and holding sage's hand.

It takes a few seconds for her to say anything and I'm trying my hardest not to laugh. "Oh shit I forgot that was today oh my god, hi sage I'm glad you found her" she says. We both smile and I look at her. "Yeah i forgot to let you know" she tells her.

We hang up a few minutes later and sage laughs "you really confused her there" she says. "Oh I know I couldn't help it" I reply. We get to the building and I sigh looking at my back seats "I'll just leave everything in there I don't really care right now" I say.

She nods and goes to the back to get her suitcases, thankfully I have an SUV and there's not much in the back so it's not too hard for her. I carry our food up and try to help her with her bags but she doesn't let me.

"Babe let me at least carry your carryon" I whine. She sighs handing me the bag "fine fine" she says. "Thank you" I reply. She turns and kisses my cheek "I love you" she whispers.

That's the first time she's said it since she surprised me, I smile happily "I love you too" I whisper back. The elevator stops and opens on my floor, I lead the way and open the door. Claire must've unlocked it when I told her we were almost home.

"Welcome to cali!" Her and joseph cheer as we walk in. Sage looks at me with a bright smile before looking over at them "thank you for the welcome it's a pleasure to meet you both" she tells them.

I make her sit to I can put her bags in my room and so she can feed herself. I come back out and they're laughing and eating, Joseph must've grabbed it on the way from work.

Sage hands me my burrito bowl as I sit next to her, the chips and guac between us. "So sage how was the quarantine?" Joseph asks her. "Boring and felt very long" she answers. "But it was worth it" she adds looking at me.

"Was the food any good?" I ask her. "It was good, but it got repetitive since there were only very few things on the menu" she replies. "Why didnt you let me know I could've gotten food sent over" claire says. "No it's okay I actually ate healthy for once" she jokes.

After eating we change into pajamas and get comfy on the couch, she leans into me and I wrap my arm around her waist. This is what I've been waiting months for and I'm so thankful she made it.

She looks over at me and I look at her smiling "I'm so glad you're here" I whisper. She smiles leaning in, I connect our foreheads and we comfortably stare into each other's eyes "I'm so glad I came" she replies.

"Just fucking kiss already" joseph says. We both laugh and I roll my eyes before kissing her. She kisses my nose after we pull away and I blush hiding my face in her hair. "You're so cute" she whispers.

I blush even more trying not to lose my shit "stop you're making me blush" I whisper. She laughs teasingly and rubs my side "sorry love I can't help it" she says.

We go back to comfortable silence watching the rest of the movie that claire put on, I haven't been paying much attention so I have no idea what's going on.

After it's over we watch another movie before we separate and go into our perspective rooms. "Do you need to shower at all babe?" I ask her.

She sniffs herself and I bite the inside of my lip trying not to laugh "mmmm i smell good but i probably should" she says. "Okay come here so I can show you everything" I tell her.

While I'm showing her she has her arm around my waist and her lips connect to my neck "join me" she whispers. I close my eyes seconds away from giving in "might need some more convincing" I joke.

"I want to do everything I told you I'd do" she whispers. My breath hitches in my throat "i- jesus okay" I reply. We ended up using more water than we intended to before laying tiredly in my bed with our legs wrapped together.

We spend a few minutes just talking about what we want to do tomorrow and for the next week, I've got a lot of things in my mind planned aside from the amount of time we'll be in bed.

I close my eyes after yawning and when I open my eyes she's tiredly looking at me with me a smile plastered on her face "I love you" I whisper. "I love you" she whispers back.
