"Can you go copy these for me? I need 40" she asks. I nod "yeah of course I'll be right back" I take the booklet with me to the copy room. It takes a while to copy is so I stand waiting and luckily my phone was in my back pocket.

@/sagetheleaf: just got home from uni

I reply back quickly and keep an eye on the booklets getting printed. As soon as I notice they're done I staple them before bringing them back to the class. "Great thank you, uh just walk around and see if any of them need help" she says.

The bell for lunch goes an hour later and after doing a few quick things we go to the staff lounge. There's already teachers in there talking about their students, a few talking about how one student is struggling in both of their classes and wondering what they could do to help.

Normally I would give them my advice but I'm minding my own business. The day goes by quicker than expected, a couple hours after the students are all gone leia said I could go home for the night so I grab something quick on my way home.

Claire comes home not too long after I do, we talk about our days before watching tv for the rest of the night, I occasionally scroll on twitter and a majority of my friends are in europe so the groupchats aren't very active.

By time I fall asleep sage has messaged me, I guess she's awake now. My eyes close before I get the chance to message her back.

As soon as I'm able to leave the school after the bell rings I head over to the coffee shop. "Yesss you're here finally" Harrison says. "Yup! Go home I got this" I say. He nods and heads home.

It's just claire and I until close, while there's nothing for us to do I tell her about the kids in the class and how I'm looking forward to teaching my own class in the fall.

"That's awesome, can you go to the back and grab beans so I can ground some in the morning when I open" she asks. I nod and go to the back, I see all the bags of coffee beans and all I can smell is just coffee.

After we've done everything we have to do for closing and any remaining customers leave we lock up the shop and go home. Stopping off at taco bell first to get food, I do some more marking that leia wanted me to help with on the way home.

I don't get to sleep until late, claire and I ended up watching a lot of greys anatomy while I marked the homework and she finished making the schedule for the next few weeks.

Just like all the other nights I fall asleep just before I'm able to message sage back, the 8 hour time difference is so much bigger than  3 hours. My mind wonders in my sleep but I still manage to sleep perfectly.

I look at my phone after I wake up and see that sage wanted to voice chat once I woke up. I grab my earbuds so I can hear her better and I get ready to go into the school.

We talk while I do my makeup, i keep it natural and then move to my bathroom to curl my hair. "So what time is it there?" Sage asks. "6:30 in the morning" I reply. "Its so early, are you teaching today?" She asks. "Yeah then I'm working a hours at the coffee shop" I answer.

"I made coffee" claire let me know while I curled my hair. "Okay thank you" I reply. "Your roommate?" Sage asks. "Yeah she's also my manager" I answer. Sage has to finish studying before going to bed so we hangup.

After I'm done and I've had breakfast and coffee I pour some into a thermos and take it with me. Leia calls me on the way there asking if I can bring in a treat for the kids "uh I can go to the coffee shop i work at but I'll be late" i reply.

"That's okay, there's not much work since it's a friday" she says. "Okay I'll uh let you know when I'm on my way then, just to clarify nothing with peanuts?" I ask. "Yeah, jules is allergic" she replies.

She hangs up shortly after and I detour to the shop, luckily claire had left and opened the store already so I grab an assortment of bakery items, including croissants, cookies and very sweet muffins.

"For your class?" Claire asks. "Yeah leia wanted me to grab some so here I am" I say. "Y'know you'll have to make more later" she replies. "I will I'll make extra" I say after paying.

As soon as the kids see me they start cheering "miss. Kai is here!" Jules informa leia. She turns and sees me "ah yes, thank you for grabbing them" she says. I nod putting them on her desk "of course" I say.

The kids go for their lunch and they get the treats when they come back. I grab a stack of papers and go to the bigger table at the back of the class and mark their work while she teaches.

Since I get everything done only an hour after they're gone she tells me to go. "See you monday" she says. "See you" I wave and go straight to my car.

I let claire know I'm on my way there and I start jamming out. Sage tells me she's going to sleep so I am left to talk to nobody when it's dead tonight.

Harrison leaves when I get there and I start making the bakery stuff that I took this morning and making extra. "How'd the class like them?" She asks. "Good, I got the perfect anount" I answer.

A couple hours go by and as I'm grinding some beans for tomorrow morning the bell rings and I hear claire talking then I hear a very familiar voice and I freeze.

Haven't heard this voice for awhile. My hands start getting shakey and my breath hitches in my throat, and then I turn around to talk.
