“Kristina, you hear me? Get up and let’s go.” Javier shouts at her.
Why is he talking to me like that? “W-w-we have to find Sarah.” she says quietly.
“We’ll get her on our way out, grab your stuff and I’ll grab hers. Let’s go,” Javier snaps at her as he starts to grab bags and pack quickly.
Kristina slowly moves out the bed, This is too much, Life can’t be real right now, she gets up and makes her way to her bags.
“KRISTINA! HURRY UP!” Javier shouts at her angrily. She sees three packed bags by Levis side already and she didn’t even touch hers. She sees Levi walking toward her and for some reason she feels scared and she cowers away from him. “Kristina, why are you crying?” he takes her face with her hands, she flinches at his touch.
She didn’t even realize she was crying, Well clearly this is not the best night of my life, “I-I-I-I don’t know.” she says pulling back from him.
Javier rubs the bridge of his nose between his index finger and thumb, “We don't have time for this. Just hurry up.” he says as he walks back over to where he was packing the bags. Within the next five minutes they finish and leave the room as they make their way downstairs.
“Hey guys.” Heather, the hotel attendant greets them in the lobby, she notices bags in their hands and Javier bloody beaten face, “Are you guys leaving?” she asks with concern.
“Yes we are.” Javier says handing her keys to the room.
“You are aware that there is two nights and three days left of this Convention?”
“We know.” he says sternly trying to end the conversation.
“Okay, let me get the check out forms.” she says eyeing Kristina’s disheveled look and bruises.
“I’ll go get Sarah, you sign whatever she’s gonna give you so we can get out of here.” he says to Kristina quickly walking towards the Hall.
Kristina walks over the front desk as she gives Heather a quick smile as she signs the papers. “You know if there is something going on between you too don’t be afraid to tell anybody or call the cops.” Heather says to her with concern.
Kristina gives her a nervous laugh, “Nothing’s going on.” she says with a nervous smile but she can tell Heather isn’t convinced and before she gets to say anything, Javier returns with a very drunk Sarah, over his shoulder.
“Kristina let’s go.” Javier says roughly as he holds Sarah over his right shoulder and some bags on his left.
“Melina jets glow!” Sarah slurs and giggles as she’s being carried by Javier.
“I hope you enjoyed your stay at the Fairfax.” Heather says to Kristina with a huge sympathetic smile.
“Feather, your BOD. I have a hurls crush on you,” Sarah says as she blows a kiss to Heather, “I gonna miss you bay bay!” she waves madly.
“Thank you, you were a great hotel attendant.” Kristina nervously smiles at Heather as she follows Javier out the door. They walk towards the parking lot as Javier pulls out his keys and unlocks the door with the car remote. Javier opens the door and puts a babbling Sarah in the backseat.
“YOOOO what’s guu with ya face ma nigga!?!” Sarah shouts at Javier but he doesn’t answer and just closes the door as he walks over to the back of the car and opens the trunk to put the bags in. Kristina hands him her bags as she opens the door to sit in the backseat with Sarah.
“Sit in the front.” Javier says to her and she does as she’s told. He walks over to the driver side and gets in as he starts the car, “You sure you got everything?” she nods her head ‘Yes’ then he pulls out the parking lot and makes his way to the highway. Three hours later they pass the MD-201, IS- 95 S, and I-895 S, Javier just been looking at the black road, What a fucking night, he looks in his rear view mirror and sees Sarah fast asleep in the back, she drifted off as soon as they touched the highway. Then he turns to looks at Kristina with her brown curls pulled out and messed up and see tears streaming down her face in black trails of mascara, “What happened? Are you in pain? What happened?” he says with concern reaching for her hand, but she flinches at his touch and gives him a look of fear, Why is she looking at me like that? What did I do? “Kristina, talk to me.”
“Are you mad at me for what happened?” she says quietly as she looks a down at her hands.
Javier pulls the car to the side of the road then he unbuckles his seat belt and leans in and kisses her lips lightly, “I am not mad at you and nothing that happened will change how I feel about you. I am just not in the mood right now.” Kristina just nods her head, “We’ll talk about it when we get back, okay?” he says as he picks up her hand and kisses it, she nods again as he starts his car and continues down the highway.
