The later that morning Kristina is awaken by her phone ringing, she quickly wakes up and answers it, "Hello?" she says in a tired voice as she yawns.

"Hello Kristina, this is Ann Schwartz. The lawyer of Malcolm Knight the third, I'm here to discuss arrangements to which my client and his organization will be completely protected. Are you busy?"

"I was busy sleeping. Why did you call me so early?" she snaps.

"8 o'clock is when most professionals start their day." Ann answers.

"I don't want to talk right now." Kristina says with tiredness overcoming her.

"Well, we have to meet face to face so you can sign contracts and other important documents. Also-"

"I am not going anywhere if Malcolm is going to be there." Kristina says, cutting her off.

"Rest assure that he will not be there. I-"

"I don't want to talk right now. I just want to go back to sleep." she snaps at her, cutting her off again.

"Then I'll be sure to call you later with details. Please call me if you have any questions." she says as she hangs up.

Kristina sighs as she stretches herself out on the couch and looks around. I don't want to stay here no more, Kristina picks up her phone and calls Sarah, "Hello?" Kristina says when she hears a noise at the other end.

"Hey girl, wassup?"

"Can I come stay with you these next two days?"

"Yea sure. What happened? Did Javier do something to you?" she asks with concern

"No, nothing happened. I just don't want to stay here anymore." she answers.

"Hmm it doesn't sound like nothing. But I'm getting off work at 4:30 so I can meet you at my house. You remember the address right?"

"Yea I remember. Thank you so much Sarah."

"It's no problem.  I'll see to you later, alright." Sarah says as she hangs up.

Kristina breathes a sigh of relief, Javier must still be asleep. She gets up and takes a shower and dresses. After she all done she heads to the kitchen. I should make breakfast, Kristina starts to cook. After 15 minutes she hears the front door of the apartment opens.

"Javi, what are you cooking?" a voice says as it enters the house and walks into the kitchen. "Hey, you are not my son." a woman says with a smile.

"Hi, I'm a friend of Javier's." Kristina says nervously to the stunningly gorgeous woman in front of her. She is short about 5'2, with flowing brown silky hair, plump pink lips, a body of a 20 year old and piercing grey eyes like Javier Oh My God, I'm still wearing Javier's T-Shirt, she's going to think I'm sleeping with him. Kristina instantly turns red.

"Hi, I'm Sylvia, Javier's mother. Nice to meet you." she says with a smile.

"I'm Kristina, nice to meet you too." she says with a nervous smile as she directs her attention back to the food on the stove.

"Where's Javier?" she asks.

"I think he's still sleeping."

"My son has you slaving in the kitchen?" she asks as she takes a seat at the kitchen table.

"Not at all, I just figured I cooked something before I leave." she answers nervously.

"Mom, is that you? What are you cooking that smells so good?" Javier shouts from his room.

"Come and find out." she answers as she turns to smile at Kristina.

Javier gets up from his bed, "Mom, I have a friend of my staying over here for a couple of days if you don't mind." he says as he makes his way over to the kitchen to find Kristina by the stove. "I see you met her already. Kristina you're the one that's cooking?" he asks Kristina in astonishment.

"Yes, and it smells really good." Sylvia answers. "Now come say hello to me."

Javier walks over to his mom and kisses her on the cheek, "Bienviendos a la casa, mama." he says to her.

"Oh God, Javi your face!" she shouts as she inspects his face. "What happened?" she asks.

"Nothing mom I'm fine." he says as he pries her hands off his face. "Now please explain to me what shift could you have possibly been working to be absent from home for two days?" he questions her as he sits down.

"The shift that keeps a roof over your head and food in the fridge." she answers.

"Mama, if you got a man now you can always tell me." Javier states in a serious tone.

"You are my man." she says as she pinches his cheeks.

"Ma, I'm serious." he says feeling agitated. Before he gets to say anything else, Kristina places a plates of food in front of him and his mom. Javier mouth waters at the pile of bacon, 6 stacked fluffy pancakes, Spanish omelet, home fries and toast  on his plate, which distracts him completely. "Kristina, you're beautiful you know that right?" he says as he digs in without even waiting for her to respond. They all sit there in a calm silence eating the breakfast that Kristina made.

"Wow, I'm stuffed." Sylvia exclaims, "Thank you so much for the food Kristina and it was really nice meeting you." she says as she give Kristina a warm hug. "Javi, I like her. And please get an ice pack for that face baby." she adds with a huge smile before she walks out the kitchen and heads to her room.

Kristina gets up and starts to clear the dishes as she drops them in the sink, "Well my mom lies you."Javier says as he gets up and stands behind her wrapping his arms around his waist. "Thank you for the amazing breakfast." he says as he kisses the back of her neck. "You went to sleep mad then made breakfast. I should get you mad more often." Javier says with a laugh.

"I'm going to stay at Sarah's house for the next two days." Kristina says quietly as she moves Javier's arms from around her waist and open the faucet to start washing the dishes.

Javier closes the faucet, "You really don't have to wash the dishes and why are you staying with her? Was last night that serious?" he asks her but gets no response. So he turns her around, "I went a little too far last night. And that's my fault but I really like you and right now you're running away from me because I know you like me too." he says to her, "I really want you to stay. I like being around you, I like sleeping next to you and I just found out you can cook." he says with a small smile hoping to get one from her too but her face is blank..

Kristina's stomach is doing back flips, "I just don't want you touching me." she says quietly as she looks down at the floor as she feels a tear escape her eye. Kristina, why are you crying? Ugh ...

"Then I'll ask permission every time I feel the need to touch you." he says to her calmly. "Can I touch your chin?" he asks as she nods her head 'yes' while he lifts her chin up. "Can I rub my thumb on your cheek?" he asks as she nods her head 'Yes' while he wipes the trail of tears off her cheek. "Can I kiss you?" he asks as she slowly nods her head 'Yes' and instead of kissing her lips like she expected him to, he kisses her forehead instead.
