Jc:
I walked into school, my heart pounding, looking for Kian. I tried to act casual, like it was any other day. I fixed my beanie on top of my head and kept my eyes searching for Kian. I found my locker and walked up to it, starting to unlock it. I felt a slap on my back and whipped my head around to find it was my best friend, Ricky Dillon.
"Hey, dude, you seem tense," Ricky told me. I shrugged and opened my locker.
"I guess I'm just stressed for the game on Friday night..." I told him. I didn't tell him that I'd rather be on a date with Kian than a stupid football game. I sighed and slammed my locker closed, disappointed I hadn't found Kian before first class. Oh well, he's in my third class, which is math.
"Hey guys," My other best friend, Connor Franta, greeted us with a big smile.
"Hey, Con," Ricky and I replied. I glanced up at the clock and cussed under my breath.
"Sorry guys, gotta head to first class, I don't want another tardy. See you at lunch," I tell them. They wave goodbye to me as I walk to my first class, which is History.
First and second class were so slow. I stared at the clock the whole time, eager to see Kian in third hour. I know I have not so great grades in those classes, but it was hard for me to concentrate. I got up right when the bell ending second hour rung and started heading to third hour.
I set down my books and things on the top of my desk and I flinch when I feel arms wrap around me from my back. I turn my head to the side and see that it's Kian. I smile widely and he smiles at me. I turn around and hug him tightly, burying my face in the crook of his neck. He's 6'1, so I have to stand on my tippy toes because I'm 5'8.
I hear the teacher clear her throat and the room go silent. Kian and I step away from each other, blushing slightly.
"To your seats, you two," Our teacher, Ms. Brown, told us. She's a strict teacher and hates all kids, except suck ups, and I'm not a suck up, and neither is Kian. Just because he's super smart and aces the class doesn't mean the teacher favors him.
To avoid getting in trouble, Kian and I didn't make contact for the rest of class, or the rest of the day. It was very, very hard, but he told me he was scared that he'd get bullied for dating me and picked on for being gay, and I told him I would beat them up and protect him, but he rejected the idea. Whenever I bring up the solution of fighting someone, Kian goes tense.
We did make arrangements to hang out after school, and I was very excited for that. I'm going to his house and he's going to introduce me to his parents.

Kian:
I'm very nervous for Jc to meet my parents, and Jc can feel it. After school, Jc is going to drive us to my place. I just don't want my parents to hate Jc and put rules against us seeing each other. I like Jc, it would hurt a lot to have him taken away from me. My parents are very picky about my boyfriends, even though Jc isn't my boyfriend...yet. Still, Jc wants to meet them, and they want to meet Jc. It's not going to be how Jc thinks it is, though. They prefer them more like me, very high grades, not very popular, and not loud. Jc is the exact opposite of me, with okay grades, super popular, and very loud. I know he'll preserve himself when he meets my parents, though.
The bell rings, ending school, and I shut my locker and walk out the doors and into the parking lot. I find Jc's car, and Jc leaning against it with his sunglasses on. I almost sigh out loud at how good looking he is. We hop into the car and Jc starts driving to my house.
"Kian, stop jerking your leg," Jc says, pulling me out of a trance. Jc places his hand on my knee, and I stop. I rest my hand on top of his and look out the window.
"Why're you so nervous?" Jc asks softly. I look at him and then back out the window.
"My parents are hard to like, that's all," I tell him honestly. I close my eyes, feeling the heat of Jc's hand on my knee. I open my eyes and we're at my house.
We walk up to my door, and Jc slips his hand into mine. I smile at him and he smiles back reassuringly. I unlock the door and push the door open. Well, here goes nothing...
