Kian:

I paced back and forth in my room, trying to calm down my nerves. I ran my fingers through my hair, pulling it back tightly. What was I going to do?

I know I told Jc that I would stay out of it, but how am I supposed to do that if he's about to do something very dangerous?

I need a plan.

I decide to make a YouTube video, explaining my situation (but not using Jc or Alfie's names), and let my subscribers decide what I should do. As of today, I have twenty active subscribers. They all watch, like, and comment on my videos. I couldn't be more thankful.

"Hey, guys. It's me, Kian. Today, I'm talking to you about something pretty serious..." I bite my lip, urging myself to continue.

"My...friend is about to do something very dangerous. He's fighting this bully that went to my high school who used to nag us pretty bad," I decided to go with 'friend' since I haven't come out to my viewers yet.

"I guess the bully really got to him this time, because they're actually going to be fist fighting," I look away, tears forming in my eyes. "And this friend is really important to me..."

My voice cracks and I sniff, trying to keep it together. I take a deep breath, wiping away a tear that escaped.

"If anything happens to him, I'll be crushed," I said with a desperate voice, and I realized just how much I wanted Jc to be here, holding me and reassuring me that everything would be fine, even when he didn't know what would happen.

"Anyways, I'd like you guys to comment down below, telling me what I should do. Should I sit back and let him handle it, like he told me to, or should I get involved and go to the fight?"

I sit back in my chair, taking a moment of silence to collect my scrambled thoughts.

"Thanks for watching, bye." I gave a half hearted smile, and turned off the camera.

I edited it as quickly as I could, and it ended looking just okay. I didn't care, though. I needed a plan now.

Within a half hour, comments started to light up my notification box. I got three comments, so I'd have to chose one of them right away. The time is four thirty, and the fight starts at five.

'I think you should let your friend handle it, it seems like he knows what he's doing. xoxo.'

No, I can't just let him go. I need to do something. The next two comments read:

'Go get him, Kian. It's a stupid fight that needs to be stopped.'

'Go stop the fight. If he means that much to you, you have to do something.'

I realize that the last two comments are right. I do need to stop the fight, because Jc means too much of me to give up on.

And if there's one thing I told myself never to do, it was to give up on Jc.

Jc:

As I stepped onto the blocked off road, cheers around me started to get louder. There was about two hundred people here, watching me and Alfie fight. Somehow, Alfie had gotten this street reserved for something. I don't know how. He must have connections.

Ricky and Connor stand next to me, giving me tips and trying to keep my confident. I was trying so hard to focus, but I couldn't stop thinking about Kian.

Was he right? Is this just a stupid fight that's all for nothing?

There's no turning back now. The clock stroke five o'clock, and both Ricky and Connor patted me on the backs, telling me I could do this, and walked into the front row of the crowd that was being held back by some stands.

Alfie gave me a wicked grin, cracking his knuckles. I winced slightly, shaking out my arms and legs. I took a deep breath, trying to settle my racing heart.

A horn blew, signaling the fight to start. Alfie and I approached each other cautiously, and I didn't know how to start.

Unfortunately, Alfie started for me, by throwing a punch into my stomach. It wasn't the hardest punch I've ever felt, but it was enough to make me hunch over.

I stood up properly, then winded up my arm, giving Alfie a good punch in the side of his ribs. The crowd went wild, and I could see them jumping up and down excitedly. A small smile formed on my face.

Alfie drew back his arm, swinging it toward me again, but I side stepped it, and drove my elbow down into him. He groaned, and I stepped back quickly away from him.

For the next minute, I did pretty good. Only one or two punches actually got me, while I kept throwing punch after punch at Alfie.

Then, Alfie threw a punch square in the middle of my face, and I stumbled backwards. I rubbed my nose, and he took the advantage of it by punching me in my ribs.

I hunched over, breathing heavily. He then punched me in the jaw, and I almost fell over.

Enough is enough, I said to myself, swinging as hard as I could and hitting him in the jaw as well.

We were both out for a few moments, and about to go at it again, when I heard a voice.

"Jc!" The familiar voice screamed desperately, and my head whipped around to the source of it. Alfie threw another punch at me, but I didn't care.

I spun around, looking for the person screaming for me, and he finally stumbled out of the crowd and into the space for the fight.

There, stood in front of me, was Kian.
