This chapter is pretty short, it's mostly just a filler.

I have a lot on my mind right now, so enjoy. :)

Jc:

I wake up the next day early in the morning. I barely got any sleep last night because of how anxious I feel. It's not the anxiety of whether I would beat Alfie at this fight or not. I'm sure as hell gonna beat him to a pulp.

The anxiety is coming from whether Alfie would bring Kian into this or not. Something doesn't seem right about this fight to me. But I'm not backing down from it.

I still haven't told Kian about any of it. In fact, I haven't really talked to him since yesterday morning. I sigh, sitting up. I better call him.

I rang him on my phone, impatiently waiting for him to answer. After the third ring, he finally picked up.

"Jc?" Kian asks with a yawn, and I instantly wish I was there with him. I have seen him in a few days, and it was killing me. "Why're you calling me at six in the morning?"

"I have to talk to you about something..." I sit up in my bed, preparing myself for this conversation. "Yesterday at the grocery store, I ran into Alfie..."

Kian gasps softly, and I hold my breath, waiting for his response. "Did he do anything...?"

"At first, it was the regular badgering shit that he always does, but then..." I take a deep breath, willing myself to continue. "He brought you into it, and I couldn't just let him get away with it?"

"What'd you do, Jc?" Kian's voice was stern and concerned.

"He challenged me to a fight tonight, and I accepted."

There was a long pause of silence, before Kian finally spoke up.

"Why didn't you tell me sooner?"

"I was still taking it in, trying to plan everything out. I was overwhelmed." I explain, hoping he would understand.

"Okay...So what are you going to do?" Kian asks in a small voice, and I wince, knowing he's hurt.

"You're going to stay home. I don't want you getting tangled up in this-" I start to say, but Kian cut me off.

"I got involved the moment you accepted Alfie's challenge." Kian protests, and I sigh, running my fingers through my wild hair.

"Just please stay home, okay? I don't feel good about this. I think Alfie's planning something, and I would feel better if you stayed out of it."

"Fine." He huffs slightly, and I sigh in relief. "So, what are you going to do?"

"I'm going to show up, and I'm going to fight Alfie," I state as if it's that simple. Yes, I know there's a chance Alfie could beat me up pretty badly as well, but I wasn't too worried.

"What? No! Jc, listen to me. Please don't do this," Kian begs, and I whine. If there was one weakness I had, it would be Kian.

"I'm doing this for you, baby. After I'm through with him, he won't ever even 'think'  to look at us." I promise Kian, and I hear him sigh in defeat.

"Okay...Just be careful." Kian warns, and I chuckle, both relieved and nervous.

"I will. Trust me."

"I love you," Kian says, and I can hear the desperation in his voice. I close my eyes briefly, trying to calm myself from the overwhelming feeling.

"I love you, too, baby," I say with just as much desperation in my voice. "Always."

I know this is short, it's mostly just a filler to get Kian involved in the situation.

I have a lot on my mind right now, but I promise to give you a fulfilling chapter this weekend!
