Yoongi's shock quickly turned into anger that bubbled and burned all the way in his chest. After a detailed text of how he thought you were a spoiled, manipulative brat who didn't care about his feelings or effort towards the relationship, he blocked you leaving you lost and with a hole in your heart without even giving you a chance to defend yourself.
You wearily sent text everyday expressing your sorrow, remorse and wish for him to come back to you. None went through of course. Weeks went by with no words and then soon, a month except for one heartbreaking message for you to receive. In usual Yoongi fashion, he sent you an album with the text,
"This album will either make you feel worse or better depending on how you listen to it since it is all about love."
You were crushed. Broken. How did it turn into this? You could barely get through the days; three years down the drain after one exhausted fight. Every day meshed together: work, home, cry, sleep, repeat. After a long day of work, you received a text with the fading sound that was all too familiar. What did he want? You thought he was done with throwing a line just to snatch it back before you could even grasp it.
"I will unblock your number so you can call me tonight when you get home. Don't text me. Just call when you're home."You didn't know what to do.
"I'm home already," you hastily replied, hoping he wouldn't be mad you texted instead.
"Thirty minutes then."
So blatant and sharp. It made you feel like your lungs were full of water and that every breath you took would be the last. Soon, a bit over thirty minutes came around and the bittersweet sound of Yoongi's ringtone vibrated in your ears; you were scared to answer, but did nonetheless.
The call was far from what you hoped to start. It was insults and questions; hate with a little hope tossed in. You especially didn't know how to feel when he fell asleep on the other end. You left it going and woke up in the middle of the night to the call ending. Your heart was weary but with a little light shining through all the shrapnel holes inside. You sent a text of gratitude, but was quickly and unsurprisingly let down by the bubble not sending through.
An agonizing week went by before you heard from Yoongi again.
"Do you still want to marry me?"
You stared at the phone baffled.
"Why wouldn't I?" You replied all too hopeful.
"Because our lives are a mess currently."
You laughed and thought to yourself "no shit."
You sent a wordy answer back, "Just because they are now doesn't mean they will be forever. Nothing has changed what I feel about you and what I want in the end. The only thing that's changed is how l look at my actions."
"I'm glad."
Just like him, dry, tired answers.
"Do you still want to get married?"
It was a curious question. A truly heart racing one for you as you didn't know how he would respond.
"Only to you. Yes. Otherwise, no."
It took you by surprise that he answered it, he didn't run from an answer. You felt more stable now than you have in nearly two months.
"Then take comfort that both of us want to marry each other still," you cautiously answered.
"It is comforting."
Slowly, guilt and hurt were starting to lift with each glowing notification.
"Anyway, it's late. You should sleep."
You smiled. You knew he was showing care and affection through simple words. You knew his language and it was enough for you. Yoongi and you texted a bit more before both heading to bed. The days ahead were a bit rough with one another as you were trying to rebuild. Boundaries were set, lines crossed, and communication was being built. It was different than before, but better and blooming with new opportunities. Both of you hated how slow the growth was, but knew the destination would be something truly beautiful and full of love and joy.
(A/N): i truly forgot that people wanted a part two for this one. I've been dead and have no time to write, so as bad as catching COVID is, I'm glad I was able to provide content for you all. Stay safe and healthy 💙
