It had been a few weeks since you had asked Namjoon to leave. You loved him, but you felt like couldn't breathe and you felt unwanted. The ice the two of you walked on got thinner and thinner everyday that passed until you broke it. You broke down. You couldn't handle it anymore and made him leave.
Namjoon had been trying to figure out ways how to make it up to you. How to make you just give him a chance to show you that he does care. He eventually made a perfect plan. You were a sap and so was he. He had the perfect cliche to get your attention and possibly your heart.
—
You were laying on your bed helplessly reading in hopes of falling asleep soon. Your head was loud and it kept you up too often. You'd finally given up on that method after an hour of reading and plugged your phone in. You rolled on your stomach, tucked your arms under your pillow and brought a leg up. Once you felt comfortable after shifting around a bit, you closed your eyes and let out a deep exhale.
You were nearly asleep when your heard a light tap on your window. You thought maybe it was the wind blowing the tree branches around, so pushed the noise aside. Then you heard it again about 30 seconds later. Scared, you got up and peeked out the window. You rolled you eyes and opened your window when you saw the unbelievable scene going on outside.
"What are you doing you idiot?" you shouted.
He grinned at you and held the speaker in his hand up and started playing a cheesy song at full volume.
"Talk to me?"
"Why should I Namjoon?" you questioned.
"Just come down here please," he yelled over the speaker pleadingly.
You sighed and closed your window. You grabbed a sweatshirt off your chair and made your way outside to where Namjoon was standing.
"So?" You pressed.
"Follow me first."
Hesitantly you followed him around to the side of the house. Your heart stopped for a second when you saw he had set up a picnic blanket. He had your guy's favorite late night snacks in containers, your favorite fizzy drinks in a mini cooler, and fake tea candles surrounding the blanket.
"Namjoon..."
"I'm sorry for neglecting us and you," he let out quickly.
You waited for him to continue.
It was a calm talk as you sat across from him. He apologize, explained and begged a lot. Your heart didn't stop beating harshly in your chest the whole time. When he finished speaking you felt kind of guilty as he looked at you sadly.
"Okay," you spoke simply.
"Okay?"
"I forgive you, I already did before you came and apologized. I do care and love you, but I'm just unsure," you responded quietly, "I do want you in my life still, but just as friends. I don't know if jumping right back in is a good choice, I'm sorry I can't give you a better answer."
He smiled wide and nodded his head. You two had casual conversation after that and enjoy every moment and laugh. Once you both had finished and you helped him clean up, he walked you back the short distance to your door.
You had turned around to open the door but he grabbed your wrist. You faced him and saw that he was tapping his cheek.
"I'm not kissing you Joonie," you rolled you eyes.
"No, but can I kiss you? Just your cheek?"
You stared at him for a moment trying to decide if you should. Ultimately you nodded your head and gave him permission. He stepped up and leaned in, leaving a quick peck on your cheek.
"Goodnight (Y/N)," he whispered as he looked at you.
"Goodnight Joonie," you smiled.
You went in your house and Namjoon started walking home. You stood there at the door smiling. He really knew how to win back a heart.
A/N: I was feeling very soft and fluffy and I think of Namjoon as a sweetheart that 10/10 would do something cheesy. I hope you enjoyed!
