"You need to think of this with a clear mind Y/N! You're being irrational," Joon raised his voice slightly.
He was probably right, as he normally is, but every week there was another fight about one thing or another; money, time, food, work, etc. It was getting out of hand and you couldn't take it anymore, you wanted to disappear. He didn't get you or the way you think. He wasn't raised the same, he never had to go through what you did, so of course to him your ways weren't rational. No matter how you explained it to him, nothing made sense and it felt belittling to your experiences.
"I'm going to my parents house. I can't be around you," you said as you grabbed your keys and left the apartment.
Namjoon was upset and frustrated at your lack of understanding, but didn't fight you needing time away.
Your "parents house" was really your dad, brother/sister and grandma. Your brother/sister, (Y/SB/N), was taking care of your grandma and dad as they had health problems. You didn't feel bad for moving away but sometimes you knew it hurt them not to have you around.
"Hey grandma," you greeted when you saw her in the same chair she always sat in.
That alerted the dogs and cats as they jumped from their resting spots to greet you with licks and rubs.
"OH! Holy shit you scared me Y/N!" Your grandmother screamed.
"We'll high to you too," you fakely laughed.
Truthfully, you didn't like her because of the hell she put you through when she raised you and your sibling, but you have to act nice to avoid upsetting her.
"Why aren't you with your dad at the hospital?" She asks suddenly.
"What? No one told me he was in the hospital what the fuck??"
"I called. Or thought I did. Oh well."
Rage bubbled under your skin and it took all your willpower not to scream at her.
"I'm leaving then. I'll get in touch since none of you seem to know how," you quickly left and headed back home.
As soon as you stepped in the door you saw Joon grabbing something out of the fridge, he looked up from behind the door.
"You're back early," he spoke quietly.
"Save it. I'm going to my room, so leave me be."
"No. You're not. Your mood is even worse than before," he said sternly, "What happened?"
You told him everything, but nonetheless shut down. You were tired of having emotions. Tired of being angry and then sad and every emotion you could think of.
"Love, It's okay. Find out from your brother/sister what happened. Get in touch with your dad and check if everything is okay."
"I hate how you can so easily logic everything out," you huffed.
Laughing he responded, "I know. We'll take care of that tomorrow okay? I just want to hold you for now."
"Fine. Only because I'm tired. I'm still upset with you."
"Yeah yeah whatever," he played as he pulled you close and kissed your forehead, "It'll be fine okay?"
"I know," you mumbled into his shoulder.
You didn't feel fine, but Joon still soothed the anxiety that was tearing a hole through your heart and that's all you needed right then.
