"Why are you behind such a cunt lately?" Jimin mumbled as he turned to walk away from you.
"Excuse me?" You turn around from the food you were prepping, "I'm asking for the bare minimum and so now I'm a cunt? Okay. Forget it then," you stormed away and slammed the door to your bedroom.
Both of you were tired. Tired of working. Tired of never getting a break. Tired of the many bullshit things life throws at you in unexpected ways. Jimin didn't even ask why you wanted him to pick up some of the work around the house, he didn't care enough to see why you needed extra time in your day. He doesn't know because he wouldn't even let you explain before getting so upset with you for even considering giving him more to do in his day.
Hours pass by and you heard a light tap on your door.
"Y/N, I went ahead and made dinner. Come out to eat at least? We can talk after if you want..."
You got up and shuffled to the door, when you opened it you didn't make eye contact, just walked over to the cabinet and grabbed plates for the both of you. The silence that stayed even while eating was almost deafening, it made you anxious and even more angry than before.
He set his utensils down and sighed, "I'm sorry for getting so upset earlier without listening to you."
"You always do it even after countless apologies," you deadpanned.
"That doesn't mean I don't mean them! I do feel guilty for my behavior and actions!"
"Maybe just listen instead of having to apologize all the time. If you even care, I asked you to pick up some of the workload so I could go visit my dad in the hospital."
The expression on Jimin's face became serious and concerned, "He's sick again?"
"Worse than ever. I've been trying to make time to see him and I feel so guilty for not being able to."
"Y/N.. I had no idea. You hid it too well. I'm so sorry. I should've noticed. What can I do?" Jimin is practically at your feet as if he's begging you not to break.
"You would've known if you listened..." you mumbled.
Grabbing your hands he gently kisses your fingers and holds them to his face.
"I know, baby. I know. I'm sorry I didn't. Just let me be here for you? Let me take care of you?" He asks sweetly.
You couldn't help but soften at his actions and words. It was too difficult to not let go of the anger that you were holding.
"Let's drop tasks for today and go visit him. I'm sure he'd love to see you too," you smiled and squeezed his hand.
"I'd love to," he spoke standing up with you.
