Things were thrown, too many things were said and now it's just the two of you panting in a silent standoff.
"You're ridiculous Yoongi," you spoke exasperatedly.
He smirked and coldly laughed, "Right. Okay. You know what? Forget this. You picked this fight and tell me I'm the ridiculous one? I'm done with you. You made your bed, so lay in it."
He grabbed his keys and stormed out.
It's always like this with him. Turbulent. Awful. Even after starting to go to therapy, he's not better with his anger or his reactions. You know it'll be fine when he's cooled down but until then, you can't even speak to him.
You were far away from home. You couldn't just move and leave so easily. It's not like the situation there was any better and it's what you wanted to escape in the first place. Still sometimes the guilt of leaving ate away at you.
You laid on the couch and decided to check in on your family the only way you can without directly asking them and talking to them, social media. You saw your dad had updated every one on his medical condition and what you read was horrifying. The same thing that caused him to die in surgery for a few minutes, to go into a coma after they brought him back, is now causing complications again.
Tears started dripping onto your phone screen and you panicked and called him right away. You talked for 20 minutes. He told you he wasn't doing well and the doctors didn't know what to do, so they just sent him home while they made a plan and looked at his test results. Your heart felt broken. You sobbed into your pillow after hanging up. Eventually you stopped crying and the headache went away enough for you to get up and take a shower. You needed the steam to clear your nose and head and the sting of the hot water was soothing. As you were heading back into your room, you heard the front door clicked close and the familiar sound of Yoongi's keys hitting the counter.
You shut the door and locked it. You didn't want to see him, especially not now after the fight and the update about your father. The headache quickly came back and your chest hurt. Tears well in your eyes once more, but you held them back as you left to grab the medicine for your headache.
He was sitting on the couch. You couldn't look at him and you felt like you couldn't breathe. It felt too silent, the air felt too still and suffocating. You grabbed the bottle and went to your room quickly. You started to cry again. Everything was a battle with them and it felt like you were being held hostage in your own home by the person you love and who is supposed to love you.
After about ten minutes you heard a knock on your door. You wanted to ignore it, but Yoongi's tender voice behind the door was hard to push away.
"Y/N... are you alright?"
You slowly got up from your bed and shuffled to the door. As soon as you unlocked and opened it, he embraced you tightly. You were confused but still accepted his hug.
Once he let you go you questioned it, "Why the sudden change?"
"I got worried. You never lock your door and you didn't speak when you came out before."
"I'm fine. Really. Don't worry about me."
As you turned around to go back to your bed, he grabbed your arm.
"Y/N I know something is wrong. It's all over your face," he sighed.
"Just things with you and now my dad. Too much bad is happening," you answered.
"Wait what? What happened to your dad?"
You sighed and brought him over to sit on the bed with you. You grabbed a pillow to hug and started telling him everything you found out. When you started crying he pulled you close and held your hands.
"I'm sorry I made you feel so bad and I'm sorry that I reacted the way I did earlier. I care about you. I love you and you don't deserve to feel so bad."
You stayed in his arms for a while, you didn't want to move; he felt safe and warm. You pushed against him more and squeezed his soft hands, he did the same back.
"Here," he shifted to where you two were laying down, "I'm sure you're tired. Let's stay here."
You nodded and sniffed. The both of you stayed talking until you fell asleep. He didn't leave your side though. He stayed with you and eventually fell asleep himself still holding you.
