Third Person POV

After a long battle with herself about if she was going to go out or not, Sophia turned the doorknob and carefully opened the door. She heard a lot of footsteps along that floor of the house. She knew there were people in there, but she didn't know how many or who they were. She could've called the police, but at that moment, the thought never crossed her mind and even if it did, she was too scared to do anything.

As slowly and quietly as she could, she walked the hallway from her room, to her parents' room. When she peeked her head in the door, she saw a couple of men searching under the bed and whispering between them, apparently looking for "the kid", she assumed they were talking about her. Quickly and without making any sound, she made her way towards the stairs. Carefully stepping down, she reached the entrance hallway. When she turned to the living room, she saw another three men searching behind the curtains and under the couch.

Again, she made her way out without being seen. Noises coming from her father's studio made her turn the other way, because she knew they were looking in there for her too. Since she heard no noise in the kitchen, thinking it was empty, she decided to go there. Wrong choice.

Just as she stepped foot on the kitchen doorway, she saw Juliette on the floor, unconscious. She ran towards her nanny, and tried to wake her up.

-Juliette! S'il vous plaît, réveillez-vous, s'il vous plaît, il y a des hommes dans la maison (Juliette! Please, wake up, please, there are men in the house) - She whispered to her while shaking her from the shoulders in an attempt to wake her up.

No response came from Juliette. Sophia was starting to panic (more). She stood up from her spot and just as she started to make her way towards the hallway again, a pair of arms grabbed her body and lifted it from the floor.

-Tu pensais vraiment pouvoir te cacher de moi? Tu n'es pas aussi intelligent que tu le penses (You really thought you could hide from me? You're not as smart as you think) - Monti had managed to grab Sophia and now that he had her, his plan seemed to be completed.

-Laisse-moi tranquille! Laisse moi partir! (Leave me alone! Let me go!) - In an attempt to free herself, Sophia started fighting back, pushing and throwing her little legs everywhere in an attempt to hurt her captor.

-Oh non, tu viens avec moi. Et quand ton papa paiera ton secours, je te libérerai. Je ne sais pas encore si tu pars mort ou vivant (Oh no, you're coming with me. And when your daddy pays your rescue, I'll set you free. I don't know yet though, if you're leaving dead or alive) - Monti whispered in Sophia's ear, sending shivers down her spine. She didn't know what was going to happen, she was afraid and it seemed like no one was going to help her. Or at least, that's what she thought.

Stranger's POV

I was walking through the woods in the outskirts of Paris. It was nearing midnight and I had to get to my rendezvous point, where my bosses were going to pick me up. I had just finished a mission and they decided to pick me up in a few days so we didn't "raise suspicion". Which I thought was a stupid idea, because it made no sense. Suspicion of what? From who? The job was done. Still, when they told me, I didn't question, not like I could question them, anyway.

As I was walking, on the other side of the trees was a big house, with a few lights on. I heard screams coming from it and people calling for help. I ignored it, it was none of my business. As I kept walking, I heard a gunshot being fired. Fighting against my instincts to ignore it one more time, something in my gut told me to go see what was going on.

I made my way towards the entrance, seeing two black vehicles in the driveway and people on the floor. I assumed they were guards and that they were dead. If not dead, just badly injured or unconscious. Walking as silently as the gravel in the ground and my boots let me, I saw two figures standing outside the house entrance. I supposed they were guarding it, but not doing a really good job at it.
