Third Person POV
The last couple of months have been a blur for Sophia. It seems like after her birthday, the days went faster, lasted a little less than normal and months ran by. When the holidays came, she went to Paris to spend it with her dad, Laurie and Juliette. At the end, Pierre ended up going as well. By New Year's Eve, Tony had decided to spend it with his family so he flew to Paris as well.
They had a really nice time together. Sophia thought Juliette was going to give birth while they were there, but she said there were still a few more weeks to go. Sophia didn't want to go back to Los Angeles so soon. She was afraid that as soon as she arrived, Juliette would be in labour and she would miss it. Juliette promised her that when her due date was a day apart, she would call her and ask her to come.
Sophia was thrilled by the idea.
After New Year, she and Tony (with Happy, of course) decided to stay a few days in Paris, enjoying the snow and a little vacation.
At S.H.I.E.L.D things have been calm. Relatively calm, at least. Nick had been sending Sophia on a couple of missions here and there, but not so many, since he knew Antoine was a little sick and Sophia wanted to be with him as much as she could.
Dividing her time between Los Angeles, Paris and New York was exhausting for Sophia. Nick had told her to stay in LA unless she was absolutely needed in New York, so that's what she had been doing.
Since she was little, when she came to America, she spent most of her time in New York, making the big city turn into her second home. No matter how basic and cliche it was, for Sophia it was always going to be one of the best cities and places she has ever been in. After so many times walking around Manhattan, Times Square, the Upper East side, SoHo, Greenwich Village and more, she still saw everything in awe like it was the first time.
Coming back to the topic, after a few days off in Paris, Sophia had gone back to LA with Tony. He was trying to make things up for Stark Industries and create new things that could help people.
After all the havoc and chaos of what happened with Obadiah, things were starting to go into place and he hadn't had the need to use his Iron Man suit since then.
Well, kind of. Sometimes Sophia would go into the shop and catch Tony practicing poses, attacks and landing poses with the suit on.
Also, Jarvis would show her some footage of a camera where Tony is doing a literal superhero pose, with his hands on his hips, or landing with a flexed leg in the ground.
Right now, Sophia was in a deep sleep in her bedroom at Tony's place. After the incident with Michael, Tony said she would stay there for a while, and now it had been almost a year since that happened. Sophia had no expectations to go back to her apartment, but the truth is, she didn't mind at all. She enjoyed being there with her brother and even though he didn't admit it, Toony enjoyed having company in the house.
Sophia was passed out from a tough day at work (Phil sometimes was in the LA S.H.I.E.L.D HQ. and assigned her a few things to do), when her phone started ringing.
She was so tired she let it beep and buzz, until it stopped ringing. After a couple of seconds, it started ringing again. Letting out a groan, Sophia stretched her hand to her nightstand trying to find her phone. When she had it, she answered with a groggy voice.
-Hello?.- She said as she lifted herself in one arm and rubbed her other hand in her eyes.
-Aló? Sophie? It's me, Juliette. You need to come home now, as soon as you can.- Juliette said with an urgent tone, her voice shaking, and it sounded like she was crying.
