Sophia was sitting in one of the chairs of her father's studio. She had a cup of hot chocolate in her hands that Juliette and Laurie had made for her. In the half an hour she had been home, she found out that her nanny and her chef had been dating for the last couple of years (in secret, apparently) and in the last month they had become engaged. She felt happy for them.

They were two of the sweetest, most wonderful people she had ever met. Juliette was hired when she was 20 and Sophia 4. Laurie had been hired two years after Juliette, when he was 27. She had always known there was going to be something between them, but everytime that seemed farther away, because no one made a move, until a couple of years ago. And now they had become engaged this past month, to what Sophia said "About damn time".

Leaving aside the happy couple, Victoire, Antoine, Pierre and Sophia were now sitting in the studio talking about what had happened while Sophia had gone missing.

-Did you think I was dead?.- Sophia asked her parents while leaning forward in her chair, resting her elbows in her thighs.

-Pierre told us not to get our hopes up, that it was most likely you were, because of all the evidence that they found.- Victoire said while looking at her daughter with a grim expression.

-But we didn't believe it. We knew you were strong and that you were alright, just hiding from the danger.- Antoine said while resting his glass of scotch in the top of the fireplace.

After hearing that, Sophia felt relieved that her parents never believed she was gone. Which led her to think about the last but not least important person she had been missing so much since day one.

-And what about Tony?.- At the mention of his name, Pierre stiffened and shifted uncomfortably in his seat, avoiding Sophia's gaze.

She noticed the slight change in his behaviour and narrowed her eyes, furrowing her eyebrows.

-Pierre, what about Tony? What did you tell him?.- Sophia asked Pierre again, waiting for him to answer.

After a few more seconds of silence and shared looks from Antoine, Victoire and Pierre, Sophia started to get impatient and nervous.

-What the hell is going on? Why is no one saying anything?!.- Sophia snapped as she turned to look at her family. Pierre cleared his throat and turned to look at her, his ashamed blue eyes, meeting the angered and confused brown ones of Sophia.

-I called him two weeks after your disappearance, telling him the mission had gone wrong and that you had gone missing.- He said while looking at Sophia apologetically. She didn't say anything, waiting for her uncle to keep talking.

Pierre took a deep breath and kept going. -I told him that we had found your things, but they were stained with blood. I then told him that we had searched everything and everywhere for you, but we didn't find you. I told him that-- He made a pause and swallowed hard. -I told him you were gone.

Sophia's eyes went wide at the explanation of her uncle and just as he finished his sentence, Sophia stood abruptly from her seat.

-YOU DID WHAT?.- She said loudly to Pierre. -WHY WOULD YOU TELL HIM THAT?.- She said as she started pacing around the room, cursing words coming out of her mouth in at least 8 different languages.

-Hündin, дерьмо, fecior de curva, 他媽的, по дяволите, verdomde hel, culus, skitstövel (Bitch, shit, son of a bitch, fuck, damn, fucking hell, asshole, mother fucker).- Sophia mumbled under her breath, holding her head in her hands.

Everyone turned to look at her with worried eyes. Of course it had been a terrible idea to tell Tony that, but they had no idea what the outcome would've been. Sophia took a deep breath and closed her eyes, calming herself and her nerves. She turned to Pierre and looked at him with a look that if it could kill, he would be 5 feet underground right now.
