Sophia's POV

-Miss Dumont? There's someone outside wanting to see you.- Maggie's voice came through the phone as I lifted it up to my ear. I scrunch my eyebrows.

-But I had no meetings scheduled for today.- I said looking through my agenda, checking if I hadn't missed something for today.

-No, but he says it's urgent. I just sent him to your office.- Maggie said and I lifted my eyebrows in surprise.

-Maggie! You can't just send some random guy to my office without knowing what he is here for!.- I said as I rubbed my temples with my thumb and middle finger. I was so focused on what Maggie was saying that I didn't even notice the door opening.

-Not even if it is me wanting to take you for a lunch date?.- A voice said as I lifted my head, seeing a figure standing at my office door, this figure holding a bouquet of peonies to cover his face.

I smiled and stood up. As I started walking I saw Maggie's little frame coming behind the man. She smiled at me and lifted her thumbs, making me shake my head and smile.

Once I was in front of the man, I took the bouquet, lowering it from his face.

Rene's blueish eyes looked at me, a smile showing his white pearl teeth. I smiled.

-Well, it depends. Where are you taking me for lunch?.- I asked as he handed me the bouquet properly, and gave me a kiss to the cheek.

-Uh huh, so the CEO from this huge worldwide known company is accepting the invitation from a humble doctor to go for lunch? I feel honoured Miss Dumont.- René said, taking a hand to his chest in fake excitement.

I let out a laugh and shook my head. I stood on my tiptoes, holding his shoulder, leaning to return a kiss to his cheek.

-Yes, yes I am.- I said as I leaned back. He smiled and gave me a hug. I gotta say, there is one thing I completely adore about René and that is the way he gives hugs.

René and I had been dating and going out on dates for the last couple of months, almost everyday.

We had gotten to know each other really well. Last weekend he took me to meet his brother and his father. His mother passed away when he was a kid and he had not many memories of her, but the ones he did, he shared them with me.

That day, he had opened up to me like he hadn't done before and it made me feel special because of how much he trusted me. Of course I also shared part of my life with him. As much as I could anyway. Not because I didn't want to, but mainly because he was not part of the world I was in.

With Michael it had been different, because we worked in the same place, in the same area, in the same field. Sharing that life with someone meant no secrets from each other.

But with René, it means that half of my life is a mystery to him. Sharing your double life with someone who had an ordinary one (meaning no secret agencies or stuff), was as hard as it got. The most I could tell him was what almost everyone knows, which is I went to boarding school. The reason? He hadn't asked me yet, but I knew he would.

-Great, so, do you want to finish up here and then we leave? I can wait outside if you want.- René said as he pointed toward the door. I grabbed him by the jacket neck delicately to stop him.

-Nope. I can leave now. The company's not going anywhere and I am the boss, so I can take my time for lunch.- I said with a smile and he returned it, taking my hand in his and giving it a small kiss.

Of course, and obviously, I blushed, furiously. And he noticed, because he laughed.

-I love to see you all flustered.- He said with a smirk and I glared at him, punching him playfully in the arm.
