While driving in the middle of the desert, the night sky seemed darker than usual and the stars seemed to be closer. If I extended my hand, I felt like I could touch them. Far away, where the ground met the sky, it felt like an endless path and we were driving towards something unknown. With miles and miles of sand and road still ahead of us, the moonlight illuminated our vehicles and its shadows reflected on the ground beneath us.

The silence in the car was not awkward or uncomfortable. I was looking out of the window at the beautiful scenario the desert of Sudan was giving us.

Sinclair had his eyes fixed on the road. Even though there were no obstacles or turns to make, he was concentrating on driving. I turned to look at him. His face was highlighted by the moonlight and it accentuated his sharp and handsome features. His eyes somehow seemed clearer with the light reflecting on them, it was another shade of green, a different one from the one from when we met.

His nose, proportional to all of his features, made the perfect bridge from his eyes to his mouth. His lips were thin, but pink and they had a nice form. They were not big, or small. They were the right size. His jawline was defined and sharp, almost like a piece of broken glass.

I didn't know how long I had been staring at him until he spoke.

-Enjoying the view, agent Dumont?.- He said with his eyes still on the road.

In that moment I felt my cheeks blush and burn, hotter than hell for sure. I quickly turned my head to the window and stared at the landscape for the hundredth time in the last hour.

-I don't know what you mean.- I said, trying to hide my embarrassment while crossing my arms in front of my chest.

-Well, you were staring at me as if I was a piece of art at the Louvre.- His tone was a playful one and his mouth was displaying a smirk.

Idiot. I thought.

-Ha, ha, ha. You wish. Funny. But no. I was analyzing you, actually.- Okay, maybe that was a lie, but I was not going to tell him that I was staring at him for no reason, so I came up with the first thing that came to my mind.

-Really? And what is your conclusion, agent?.- He said while quickly glancing in my direction.

Now it was time for me to actually analyze him and tell him what it is that I found. Well done, Sophia. Well, done. I turned to look at him one more time.

-Well, you are smart. Calculating. You are discrete. You follow orders better than anyone, but not because you want to impress your boss, but because that's the way you like to do things.- I stopped and thought a bit more before continuing. - You are not scared of danger, or risking your life. You are chosen for extreme missions because you are the only one who can handle the pressure and whatever comes with it.

He turned to look at me and signaled me to keep going.

I let out a sigh and continued. -You seem tough around people, but you would sacrifice anything for your team. What you said before about only being happy around people you like, it's not at all true. You like them, but you don't change around them. You remain serious and stoic. Yet, for some reason, you have exceptions. And lastly, you don't trust people easily, or at all. Yet, you seem to trust almost everyone here.

He was now smiling, like a true smile and it confused me even more. He let out a chuckle and turned to me once again. He looked me in the eyes and while smiling, he nodded his head in approval.

-Wow, not bad, Dumont. Most of it, I gotta say, it's true. You have a good eye and your analyzing method or thing is kind of impressive.- He kept on smiling while he looked again at the road in front of us.
