Third Person POV.
It had been an eventful three weeks, to say the least. Sophia and René had reunited after Sophia's mission in Serbia and when she came back, the doctor almost had a heart attack when he saw her.
Her bruised cheek and abdomen shocked him and shook him to the core. He knew what her job was about and that sooner or later she would be injured or have an injury of some kind. Mentally, he knew what was coming, but seeing her was a whole new different thing.
As soon as she crossed the doors of the hospital to visit him, he took her to a room, healed her wounds, sent her to x-rays to see if she hadn't broken any bones and after ten thousand more tests when he saw she was fine, he let her go.
The past month she had been having a few meetings with Pierre about the company and for the I.I.S.A. It was her turn to work there, but occasionally Nick would request her for something major.
Today she was in her house, preparing dinner because she had invited René over. Sometimes she would stay at his place and other days he would stay at her house. At the beginning it felt wrong for her to be inviting another man to her parent's house, and more when the first man to ever be there was not René.
But after a deep conversation with Juliette and Laurie, they let her know it was fine, because at the end of the day, the house was now hers. And she told her that her parents wouldn't have minded, knowing she was starting to make her own life.
-Is everything ready?.- Juliette asked Sophia as she saw her finishing placing the table.
-Yes, the only thing left is to take out the pasta from the oven, the meat pie, and the wine from the fridge.- Sophia said as she rubbed her hands in her skirt. She was currently wearing a navy blue skirt, with a light white and blue striped shirt and red heels.
Suddenly she was feeling extremely nervous. She had had dinner with René several times and they had been to each other's houses, but for some reason, this night felt different.
Okay, maybe she knew why she was nervous but she didn't want to think about it.
In their last dates, the things between René and Sophia had gotten a little... Heated, to say something. She knew where this was going and she was nervous about it. But she didn't know if she was nervous because of what could happen, or because the last time she had done it, it had been with Michael.
And it was magical, it was amazing. And deep down, she was fearing it was not like that with René. If it were to happen, of course.
As she was swimming deeper and deeper in her thoughts, the sound of the bell ringing pulled her back to the surface, making her jump.
-He's here, cherié.- Juliette said from the hallway and Sophia took a deep breath.
-Okay, okay. Calm down Sophia, This is okay. It's going to be fine.- Sophia said, whispering to herself as she tried to calm down.
As she walked to the door, where Juliette was waiting, she took a last glance at herself in the mirror.
Juliette opened the door and the first thing she saw was René standing there with a smile on his face.
-Bonjour, Juliette. (Hello, Juliette).- René said as he smiled at the woman in front of him.
-Bonjour, René! Comment allez-vous? (Hello, René. How are you?).- Juliette said as she opened the door.
-Très bien, et vous? (I'm fine, and you?).- René answered as he stepped inside the house.
-Très bien, merci. (I'm fine, thank you).- Juliette smiled and stepped aside.
