July 2008. 21:45. Stark Industries, Los Angeles. CA.
Third Person POV
The fight with Obadiah was done. The arc reactor had exploded, taking the man's life with it. Tony stood outside the building, quickly trying to find a way to find Sophia.
Just a few feet away, Michael was looking desperately everywhere he could. Every inch of the building was being looked into by S.H.I.E.L.D's team.
Pepper was just standing there in shock, not knowing how to feel or what to do.
Phil had gotten news that Sophia might be somewhere in the place, so he and the remaining men of his team, started to look for her.
Tony stood up from his place and with a little dizziness he tried to look for Sophia.
-Jarvis, you there?.- Tony called and his mask lit up.
-I'm here, sir.- The A.I. responded instantly.
Tony was not even sure if what he wanted to do would work, but he had to try. His suit was damaged in the fight and he knew the arc reactor would not hold on for much longer. But still.
-How much energy we have left?.- Tony asked as the analysis of the damage displayed in the mask's screen.
-About just 15%, sir.- Jarvis said and Tony pondered over a minute. He liked to take chances and the search for his sister was not going to be different.
-I'll take it. We're going to look for Star.- He said and he lit his repulsors on, flying above the industry. -J, call Sinclair.- Tony asked as he flew across the area. In just seconds, Michael's voice was heard on the other side.
-Tony, what is it?.- Michael answered and no matter how much Tony hated his guts right now, he knew he could help.
-I'm flying above the area, I'm going to scan for anything that would tell us where Star is. Keep looking and keep me posted. I'll tell you when I find her.- Tony said and just waited for confirmation from the agent.
-Roger that.- Michael said and Tony finished the call.
The percentage of the suit's energy was diminishing by the second as he kept on searching and flying everywhere and at just 8% capacity, Tony hoped it would be enough to find his sister.
-Jarvis, scan for any heat signatures in the buildings within a mile radius. Obadiah couldn't have hidden her far.- Tony said and waited for Jarvis to do the job.
The screen suddenly changed and Tony was looking through infrared vision. He let Jarvis scan every corner of the facility, the results not what he expected.
-No heat signatures found, sir.- Jarvis said and Tony cursed loudly.
He didn't want to lose patience. He didn't want to give up, just like she hadn't given up on him on so many occasions. He flew to another area in the factory and found nothing. Flying across all Stark Industries, Tony's and Michael's hope was reducing with every second that passed.
None of them wanted to think that maybe Sophia was in the building that exploded and none of them had any idea if she was actually in there. Both men pushed the thought out of their minds and kept looking. Michael on the ground and Tony in the air.
On the other side of the place, Michael was looking desperately through every corner.
-Nothing here, sir!.- One of the agents said as they exited the last building.
-Keep looking! We're not leaving until he had swept this place perfectly.- Michael said, with determination in his face, he kept looking.
Just as Tony reached the last building, he asked Jarvis to look again.
