Have you ever thought how fast things can change from one moment to another? Life always finds a way to turn things unexpectedly and leave you unprepared for whatever comes next. You are alive for a moment and you think it'll last, but destiny might have other things planned for you.

For a moment, Sophia felt like she was flying. She was soaring through the sky, with the cold breeze hitting her face, messing her hair and freezing her cheeks. At some point, it felt like she was flying backwards, her hair now in the sides of her face, her body light as a feather. She had her eyes closed, and for some reason, that made the experience a lot more pleasant than it really was.

It was not more than a couple of seconds after the sound of the detonation of a bomb, when she was sent flying away from the inside of her van. She came back to reality when her back crashed on the hard and rocky ground of the desert. A loud crack was heard somewhere in her body.

I must have broken something, she thought. Just as she was regaining consciousness, she tried to open her eyes. Her eyelids felt heavier than lead. She fought the urge to just keep them closed. She wanted to feel like she was flying once again. When she tried to suck in a breath, her lungs filled with smoke, which made her cough.

She tried to sit up, but her right hand gave away and bent, making her hiss in pain and fall once again to the ground. So that's what's broken, she supposed that was the crack that she had heard when she made contact with the floor.

Supporting her weight with her other hand, Sophia seated up and looked around her, analyzing her surroundings, she noticed her car almost completely destroyed by the explosion. Standing up quickly, she also realized she had twisted her ankle. Limping all the way to where her almost melted vehicle was, she realized there was only one burned body in the car. The driver.

She frantically started to look around again, scanning the area when her eyes finally caught sight of her main priority. The king.

Once again, limping all the way to where he was, laying in the ground facing up and with an arm wrapped around his stomach. She kneeled beside him and placed two finger's in the King's neck, checking for a pulse.

When she found one, she released the breath she hadn't noticed she was holding. She took his arms and started shaking him awake, gently.

Slowly, King T'Chaka opened his eyes and coughed, letting out all the smoke that had filled his lungs. Sitting up, he turned to look at the view in front of him.

Smoke and fire almost everywhere, the sound of gunshots being fired, bombs exploding and screams of panic and anger, now filled the once calmed, peaceful and silent night the Wakandan desert had given them mere minutes ago.

He turned to look at Sophia with a slight panic in his eyes. Sophia saw that the king was scared, and why wouldn't he? This was just another attempt against his life and even though he had experienced several of this, that didn't mean it became easier.

Sophia turned around to see more agents from her team coming out of burning or damaged vehicles. Once she saw some of them were okay, she turned her attention to the king again.

-Are you hurt, your majesty?.- Sophia asked with concern laced in her voice. She started to check the king for any sort of injuries that he might've displayed. When she saw just a few bruises and cuts along his face, she stood up and made a motion to help the king stand up as well.

Once both of them were standing, they saw a group of rebels coming their way. Quickly, Sophia checked her belt for her guns, thinking she had lost them in the fall. When she felt they were still in their place, she turned to her team and called for them.
