Sophia's POV
It was early (not so early) in the morning as I was getting ready to go to work. Today was a "lazy evil day", as Nick liked to call it when there were no missions for the day or anything big to go to. We were allowed to go a little late so I was taking my time with picking up things I left around my room. I had already taken a shower when I came back from my morning jog. Now, I was getting dressed after finally cleaning everything around. As I was putting on my black henley shirt, Michael came out of the bathroom. He had already taken a shower and was now dressed only with his jeans, his bare chest with droplets of water running trailing down his torso. He was drying his hair with a towel as he looked at me and smiled.
-Look at you, almost ready to go and I'm still drying my hair.- He said as he got closer and leaned down to give me a peck on the lips.
-What can I say? I'm a fast girl.- I said as I smiled at him and went to brush my hair.
-So, since there's no need for us to arrive early, what do you want for breakfast?.- Mickey said as he went to hug me from behind. -I can make you pancakes, waffles, scrambled eggs with cheese?.- He was listing a few things and was about to say one more, until my phone ringing interrupted him.
I ran to my bedside table to grab it. When I saw the name of who was calling, a small surprised smile made its way to my lips. Letting it ring once more, I finally picked up.
-Well well well, who would've thought you would be calling me this early in the morning? Being 06:15 in LA?.- I said as I started pacing around the room.
-What? Can't I call my sister early, knowing she is an early morning bird?.- Tony's voice resonated on the other side of the line. I let out a chuckle and shook my head.
-I would believe you, if I didn't know you, but because I do in fact know you better than anyone, I know that is a complete lie.- I said as Michael threw a funny glance my way, knowing who I was talking to.
-Yeah, well, people change Star, you know?.- He said with a tinge of indignation in his voice. I laughed louder this time.
-Of course they do. Hey, Happy.- I answered, also greeting one of my favourite people.
-Why do you say hi to Happy? How do you know he is here?.- Tony asked me, curiosity dripping from his voice.
-Hey Sophie!.- I heard the voice of our dear friend in the back. I smiled. Happy made me happy.
-Because I know you go everywhere with Happy. Also, because it's early and I know you don't like to drive to the airport. Ever. And because I heard his little chuckle in the background.- I said as I started to put on my boots.
-Right, anywho. I was calling because I had a great idea, like all my ideas and I thought--. I interrupted him abruptly, shaking my head.
-Oh no, this can't be good.- I said and Michael laughed, he had heard what Tony said.
-Ha ha ha, funny. Let me finish before you criticize my genius plan, okay?.- He made a pause to make sure I was not going to interrupt. -Right, so my idea was, today later in the day, why don't you and my dear brother-in-law come to Vegas for the award thingy stuff and we spend some time together?- He said to me in an excited voice.
We have been invited by the event committee to attend. Well, me and a plus one, which would be Michael, but since we have work today later in the day, important work if you know what I mean, we said no. Tony was indignant after I told him we couldn't make it and said he wouldn't speak to me in a week.
