10th July 2010. 08:00. Manhattan, New York. NY.

Third Person POV.

The sun was filtering through the windows, allowing a few rays of sunshine to light the room in the early hours of the morning.

The guy was watching his girl's sleeping form as he wondered and questioned himself, when did he become so lucky to have a girl like her as his fiance. With a smile over his face, he started running a hand across her bare back, the sheets falling on her waist, covering from her lower back all the way down. One of her legs was  out of the sheets as well, while her arms were tucked under the soft pillow.

She was lying on her stomach and her face was turned to the right, like she was looking straight at him. He smiled when he saw her stirring in her sleep, knowing she was starting to wake up.

He watched as she opened her eyes slowly, her long lashes caressing the apples of her cheeks. He almost got the air knocked out of his lungs as he saw her brown chocolate eyes now fully open, shining with the rays of sun that littered the room.

He moved his hand to tuck a stranded piece of hair behind her ear. Moving his hand across her face, he stopped to run his thumb on her rosy cheeks. She was blushing. His hand ran down until it was grabbing her chin. With a delicate movement, he lifted her face and gave her a tender kiss.

Sophia smiled as she opened her eyes once again, watching the man in front of her.

-Hi.- She whispered. Her voice hoarse from having just woken up.

-Hey, sunshine.- Michael said as he placed another kiss on her forehead.

Sophia moved a little as she grabbed the blanket and covered her bare chest with it. Michael smiled at the gesture, knowing she was flustered. It had been a month now since what happened at Stark Expo, with Hammer, with Vanko and everything that went down.

Sophia was back at work now, not having to look over Tony (all the time) and back to doing missions all around the globe. Something she had missed dearly. They were now in New York, preparing for a few missions and to see a few venues and places for the wedding.

In the last month, Sophia started to commit to the whole "wedding planning" thing and as Tony asked her to be her wedding planner, she decided on a more capable person and also the help Pepper and Natasha (separately, of course) were offering her.

She liked the whole planification of this and to be honest, she was actually really excited to do all of this with her friends and Michael.

Sophia had told him that if he didn't want to get involved at all in the planning or anything like that, she'd understand, but the surprise came when he told her that he actually wanted to be really involved in everything, venue picking, the banquet, the invitations, dessert, cake tasting, flower picking, all of it.

But there was one thing he did not want to know about or be involved in.

The dress.

He wanted that to be a surprise. And Sophia agreed on that as well.

They had set the wedding for the last days of December because they wanted a winter wedding.

But, they decided to choose a day between Christmas and New Year because they thought those dates were too cliché. So, they opted for the 28th of december. That meant that the wedding was just 5 months away and surprisingly, the planning was going smoothly.

But not everything had been like that, because just a week before today, the siblings had an argument on who was going to be paying for the wedding.

Sophia argued that her father had left her enough money to pay for her wedding (and live her life fully for the next hundred years), but Tony argued that as the big brother, it was his duty to do it.
