-Missed me, Agent Dumont?.- And Sophia felt her heart skip a beat.

When Sophia saw the figure standing in front of her, her eyes opened wide and for a few seconds her look turned from one of anger to one of confusion.

-God, Michael, what the hell? I could've shot you!.- Sophia said as she lowered her gun and put the safety back again.

-But you didn't, which is good, and thank you.- He said as he stepped closer to Sophia.

-But I could have, and you would be dead by now. Jesus, don't ever scare me like that again.- Sophia said as she took off her jacket and turned on the lights of her apartment.

-I won't, I promise.- Michael said, lifting his hands in surrender.

Sophia turned to look at him skeptically. She raised an eyebrow at him and Michael just threw her a smile. When he did that, Sophia smiled as well. She couldn't be mad at him, not when he smiled like that.

He got closer to Sophia and took her in his arms, hugging her tightly. He had missed her more than anything. There was only one thing (besides his mission), he could think about while being in Morocco, and it was her, her eyes, her smile and everything she meant to him. He felt her small arms wrapping around his torso and he smiled, leaning his head on top of hers and giving it a kiss. Sophia smiled against his chest, until a thought crossed her mind and she opened her eyes.

-How did you get into my apartment? What are you doing here?.- She said while pulling slightly away, but not enough for Michael to remove his arms.

-I just came back from a mission--. And he didn't finish his sentence, because now, in the light, he could see Sophia's busted lip and black eye. He took Sophia's face in his hands and examined it.

-What happened to you, Soph?.- Michael said in a worried tone. Sophia let out a chuckle and looked at him.

-I'll tell you if you answer my questions first.- Sophia said while crossing her arms in front of her chest.

Michael let out a grunt. He looked at Sophia and nodded his head.

-Fine. I came here, because after my mission, I arrived at headquarters and asked if you were still there. They told me you had just left so I thought I would catch up. Since I know you like to take the long way, I came by the short one. When I arrived, I told the gatekeeper I was here to see you. He told me you were not home yet but I was welcomed to wait. I went up and waited at your doorstep. The window of the hallway was open so I went outside through it and saw one of yours open so I went inside. Really careless if you ask me. I know I shouldn't have done it, but you left your window open and any creep might've gone inside and I couldn't allow that so here we are.- Michael said all of that in one breath and Sophia looked at him with a surprised expression, she slowly nodded and shrugged.

-Well, you have a point there. Thank you, for taking care of my apartment, in that case.- Sophia said as she motioned Michael to take a seat in her living room.

-Now can you tell me what happened to your face? I hope the other one ended worse.- Michael said while sitting down. Sophia went to her kitchen and opened the fridge, taking out two Cokes.

-I was sparring with Natasha. She managed to land one of her feet on my cheekbone along with my lip. But I'm fine, don't worry.- Sophia said as she took a seat beside Michael and handed him the soda. He thanked her and opened it, taking a sip from it.

He looked at Sophia while she was taking her drink. He saw how she carefully placed the can in her lips, trying not to hurt herself with it.

-You need to attend that and that.- Michael said while pointing at her lip and then at her cheek.
