Chapter 23

It was the first day of my internship. I was excited as well as nervous. I woke up early took a shower to wear a casual dress and went to have breakfast. I saw Ney was already there making breakfast.

"That smells yummy." I gave him a kiss on his cheeks. 

"Excited babe?" He asked me.

"Yeah but kinda nervous too," I replied. 

"Don't worry you will be great." He gave me a sweet kiss. (Oh, I never mentioned what I am studying in his fanfic. Well, I am a physiotherapist.).

"Thank you for that delicious breakfast honey. I gotta go now. Bye, I will catch you later." I hurried out and drove to my workplace. I went to the inquiry desk.

"Hello...." I said.

"How can I help you?" She asked. 

"I'm the new intern can you tell me where can I find my senior?" I asked her.

"Oh... it's room number 201 on the second floor. I went upstairs and saw the room and entered there were already many interns. I sat on a corner sit.

"Hi, I'm Lara." A blonde girl said to me. 

"Hello... I'm Ciara." I gave a smile.

"You're from here?" She asked me.

"Yeah, but I studied in England, and you," I said.

"I'm from Rio." She smiled.

Then some people entered the room. They were our seniors and doctors. They gave a long orientation and stuff and then we were divided into groups Lara and I were in the same and they gave our posting centers luckily I had the one where the Brazilian team comes for treatment and check-ups I was happy. We were 6 in our group. Lara, me, a girl named Mia, and three boys Paul, David, and Jamie. Each team was given a resident. We went to our center with our resident who told us that every day we had to report directly to our centers and left us there.

"Hi, I'm Dr. Howard and I will be your teacher." A tall figure came towards us. We were told to roam around to know the place. Paul started talking with Lara and David with Mia so I was left with Jamie.

"Hi, Ciara right?" He asked.

"Yeah." I smiled. 

"Beautiful name for a beautiful girl." He said and winked at me and I laughed. We reached the training ground where everyone was just resting on the ground. Everyone saw us there, we went toward them.

"Hy Cia," Oscar said.

"Hello," I answered and my groupmates were shocked.

"Hi everyone we are the new interns who will be here for your help," Lara said.

"Oh, a blondie." I heard David saying. "What's up Cia? Won't you introduce us to your friends?" David came.

"Hahaha, here you go. This is Lara, Mia, Paul, Jamie, and David." I said. They all said hi and hellos and started talking to each other. During all this Ney was just sitting there looking at us. 

"Cia How do you know them?" Jamie asked me.

"I have known them for more than 4 years," I said. 

"Cool... so you wanna leave them and hang out with me sometimes?" He asked me and I could see Ney getting jealous.

"I'm sorry I can't," I replied.

"But why?" He asked.

"I'm taken already," I said and was about to leave when we grabbed my hand. 

"Oh C'mon just once babe." He said. 

"Do we have a problem here?" Ney came looking angry. Jamie let go of my hand. 

"Can't you hear what she said? So back off." Ney was literally angry. 

"I'm sorry but I was just asking her out." He said. 

"Ney it's okay just leave it please." I looked at him.

"Okay only because you said." He was taking me with him.

"Just a sec Ney," I said.

"Sorry, Jamie. He's a little hyper when it comes to me." I said. 

"No problem but you should have told me you were his girlfriend," Jamie said and went towards Paul and Mia.

"Someone's a jealous man." I sat next to Ney.

"Did you see how he was looking at you?" he said.

"Awww my babe don't get angry. Chill." I gave him a kiss on his cheeks. 

"Okay. Well, what are you doing here?" He asked.

"Ummm about that, hi, I am one of the interns with the physio team," I said and I could see him smiling.

"That means I will get to see you all the time." He couldn't help smiling. 

"Yeah," I said.

"Ciara let's go Dr. Howards calling us," Lara shouted.

"Got to go. Bye, I will see you later." I left
