chapter 7 - flashback VII

It was getting late so we all headed for the hotel, we ate our dinner together and went to our rooms. As Rafa was still not back I sat on the balcony of our room and went through Instagram and Facebook.

"I'm back" Rafa came shouting.

"How was the shoot?" I asked her. "Great.!! How was your day?" She asked.

"Pretty good and guess what Ney came to talk to me today about Oscar. " She looked curious "And...?? "

"I just told him that it's been a while since I started liking him and he asked me why didn't tell him before so, I told him that he had no time to hear that out. And yeah I asked Oscar to be my boyfriend for a while." She just stared at me. " Will you be okay?" She was worried.

"Yes Rafa, I will." I smiled at her.

After Rafa freshen up we took a lot of selfies and I posted some of them on Instagram. We sure got many likes. I have been getting a lot of followers because of the Brazilian team and Rafa.

We got really cute comments too we looked at them giggled and went to sleep.

The next morning we all had planned to go shopping so we all meet up in the lobby Rafa and I wore almost the same clothes floral skirt and white t-shirt with pink pumps. 

Everyone had heard about Oscar and me so David teased me "Oscar huh?? That's a surprise.. well !!! way to go girl." I just smiled. 

Rafa and I bought many kinds of stuff. Rafa, I and Oscar were together all the time they both were really supporting me through all those stuff.

Oscar gifted me this really cute bracelet, I hugged him when I saw it and Ney saw me with Oscar at that very moment.  

We were back, and all boys except Ney were seating in a group and chatting when we happened to pass by them Rafa heard Oscar say " Don't know that guys Ciara is leaving in a month so we are not serious about our relationship."

"Shit..!! Perfect timing." I murmured. I could see the look on Rafa's face she was furious at me.

"When were you planning to tell me that? That's just perfect." She stormed towards the beach.

 I ran after her "Rafa!!Rafa!! stop. I'm sorry..!!!" I was shouting. But she was too mad to even stop and hear me out.

"Rafa, please!!!!  I was going to tell you after we got back from here. I wanted to enjoy this trip." I was still running after her.

"But why Cia why? Why are you going back?" She turned around to look at me. I didn't have any answer for that so, I just stayed there without a word.

"I know why? And it's not the right decision." She continued to walk away. But I stood there with a tear in my eyes "How could it be right if I stay here Rafa?" I broke down and she came running at me and hugged me tight while I shed my tears.

"I know it's hard for you Cia but I don't wanna lose a friend who's more like a sister to me." She said still hugging me. We went to our room Rafa was sad to know that I will be leaving soon.

She broke the silence " When are you leaving Cia?"

"After a month. " I looked at her. Her eyes were full of tears. "Hey, Rafa it's not like I'm going there forever just for my studies and I will be back and we can always talk on the phone remember." I hugged her. 

"Promise me you will stay in touch and come home in your holidays." She made puppy eyes at me.

I laughed " I will Rafa... I will."

It was after dinner when I was strolling alone on the beach Ney came and hugged me from behind "Heard you are leaving. Why Cia?"

"Oh hi, Ney... Who told you that? No, I'm not leaving." I said. 

"Okay, now you have started to lie to me huh? I heard you and Rafa on the beach earlier." He looked at me.

 "Nah it's not like that Ney. I just wanted to tell everyone  after we were back home." I sat on the sand and Ney sat beside me.

"But why are you leaving Cia?" He looked sad. "To finish my studies Ney. Something doesn't feel right here these days so wanna go back to finish my studies. I will be back soon and I will be here for holidays to Ney." I smiled.

"But still. Don't leave Cia." I could see a tear in his eyes.

"I have to go Ney. I already took admission." I was trying my best to stay strong because tears were starting to form in my eyes already.

"I will miss you Cia. I will be alone if you leave." He said staring at the deep blue sea.

"I will miss you too Ney and you have Kathleen with you, you won't be alone," I replied.

"We can't be together forever Ney. One day you will have a family of your own and I will have my own. We will just be a part of each other's life not the whole life like we used to. Things change Ney, so do people." After saying that I stood up and left. 

The week ended so fast without even realizing it. Well, it was the last day in Hawaii we were leaving early tomorrow. So we all just planned to stay the day on the beach and have fun. On the whole trip, we rarely met Ney as he was always busy with Kathleen.

That was the only day when Ney was with us for the whole day. All boys were surfing except Ney who was lying down with the girls in the sun and I was strolling around picking sea shells and thinking about the future. When I found this really beautiful creamy blue stone well that brought a smile to my face. I hold it in my fist and went towards the girls.

"Look what I found Rafa." I showed her the stone.

"Wow, it's so pretty. Keep it with you always Cia as a remembrance." She smiled

Ney came towards us "About the thing you told me that night Cia what did you mean by just a part of each other's life?" He asked me.

"That's simple Ney. Let's face the truth I can't be in your life forever as your best friend Ney one day you will have a family, a wife and I will have my husband. Do you think they won't have a problem with it? Life doesn't always turn out the way we want it to Ney. You never know what happens." Simply I answered him and the look on his face was priceless.

"Let's go inside Cia," Rafa said

"Bye Ney." We went inside the hotel.

We really had great fun with some twists and turns but it was something we will smile about later on.
