We arrived at the frat house. The music was so loud you could hear it from the outside, loud and clear. The lawn was littered with garbage. There was beer cans and plastic cups everywhere. I went to go open my door when Louis grabbed my arm.
"If anyone asks your my girlfriend, got it?" he asked. I looked at him and rolled my eyes. I was not going to go along with that since he was using me. Why would I pretend to be his girlfriend? Wouldn't that just give him the satisfaction he wanted? All I did was get out of the car with out saying a word. I started to walk up the narrow, stone pathway to the house. I heard Louis lock the car. Footsteps were coming from behind me. He ran in front of me making me stop dead in my tracks.
"Remember don't take a drink from anyone, ok? he said. I could hear the seriousness in his voice.
"Ya I know my mom already taught me the proper party etiquette," I said with attitude. He turned around and walked to the door, opening it with out even knocking. I followed behind him.
The place was crowded, hot and loud. It started to hurt my ears a bit. Louis guided me through the people. Every once in awhile he would stop and say hi to some random person. We went in to the kitchen. Louis stopped and started talking with a man. He looked around the same age as Louis. He had dark hair and eyes. He was quite muscular. Judging by their faces they were good friends. I decided I was bored and walked away. Louis didn't even notice I was gone. I walked around the house, stopping in the living room where people were dancing. Some guy started talking to me. He was quite handsome.
"I've never seen you before, what's your name sweetheart?" he yelled.
"Jess!" I yelled back.
"I'm Jack!" he said leaning in and saying into my ear.
"Nice to meet you, Jack," I said in his ear.
"You have a boyfriend?" he asked. I thought about the question. Louis said to tell everybody I was his girlfriend. But right now I was still pissed at him, and Jack seemed like a nice enough guy, so I decided to say," No."
"Wanna dance?" he asked. I knew exactly what type of dance he was talking about. I nodded knowing that this was the exact thing that would throw Louis over the edge.
I placed my back to his chest. We started swaying side to side to the beat. His hands were on my hips, his chin resting on my shoulder. He whispered in my ear,"You're hot." It actually kind of disgusted me but yet kind of flattering at the same time.
All of a sudden I felt something come in between us two. It was Louis.
"Oh hi, Louis," I said turning to face him. He was glaring at Jack. I had wide smile spread across my face. This was exactly what I wanted.
"I got you a drink," Louis grunted, passing me the drink. He was still glaring at Jack.
"You know Louis?" Jack said, looking at me.
Before I could answer Louis said,"Ya she's my girlfriend." I tried to say something but Louis glared at me, which I took as a "Don't speak".
"I'm sorry dude, she didn't tell me," said Jack. I could hear the fear in his voice and see it in his eyes. Obviously Louis was a pretty feared guy. Which was hard to believe with how sweet he was. It also made me wonder what he did to earn this status. Jack looked at me and basically ran away. Louis grabbed my hand and basically dragged me up the stairs to a hallway. There was a couple people walking around but for the most part it was quite and secluded. He pushed me against the wall and placed his hands on either side of me, stretched out as far as they could.
"What the hell was that for? He was a nice guy and you scared him away," I said jokingly.
"I told you to tell people that you were my girlfriend and you didn't listen. Some of these guys will hurt you if they know your alone." He was angry, I liked it.
"Is someone jealous?" I said taking a sip out of my drink. It was sweet but it burned a bit going down.
"I don't know what to do with you," he said, shaking his head. I quickly chugged my drink.
"How about you get me another drink?" I asked, passing him my empty cup.
"Stay here ok?"
"Ok captain," I said. I could already feel the effects of the alcohol. I was happier then before. This wasn't the first time I drank, but it was only the third. I decided to listen to Louis and stay where I was. I felt like if I was to make him mad again that he would probably carry me out of the house, drive me to the hotel room and lock me in there. Even though he was really sexy when he was mad.
Some guy stumbled down the hallway and half landed on me.
"Are you alright?" I asked. He had his one hand on my left shoulder and the other against the wall to my right. He looked up and smiled. His smile put me on edge. It wasn't an innocent smile, there was some bad meaning behind it.
"Ya. You're pretty," he said, checking me out.
"Um thanks," I said awkwardly. He leaned in really close, standing up straight. I could smell the alcohol on his breath. He pushed him self against me, and grabbed my chin. He was tall and very muscular. He towered over me. My heart was racing. I was scared of what might happen next.
"You are way to pretty to be alone," he said, smiling.
"Thanks but I think my boyfriend, Louis is looking for me," I said. This time I was ok with pretending he was my boyfriend. I felt like it might protect me. But it didn't.
