"So how was your weekend?" Amanda asked. I let out a frustrated groan.
"Tiring, frustrating, angering... need I go on?" I complained.
"No. Did anything good happen?"
"Ya. Louis was really sweet." I slammed Amanda's locker closed for her, she was taking too long. She didn't looked surprised that I closed it for her.
"Oh well I want all the details. Lunch tomorrow?"
"Ya of course."
"Sorry that I can't give you a ride today," she said pouting.
"It's fine. Todd will be here soon," I assured her.
"Ok I have to go. I don't want to be late for my appointment."
"Ok bye." We split ways and I made my way downstairs to wait for Todd.
"Hey!" I heard from behind me. It was Ava, running down the hall. I smiled and waved. "Ok so are you coming to the wrestling tournament tonight?" she asked as soon as she got to me.
"Um I don't know, why?"
"Because I want you to come! I swear this time it's going to be great! I have been practicing real hard and have gotten so much better!"
"Well I don't know-"
"Come on! You used to come all the time!"
"Ya because my brother was wrestling and I was keeping score."
"Please!? Please for me?" she begged.
"Fine. For you."
"Yes! Thank you! Love you! Ok, bye." She skipped away down the hall. She was so weird.
I continued down the hall going slow because I knew Todd wouldn't be here for awhile. I had this strange feeling that someone was watching me. I didn't hear anyone or see anyone so I dismissed the feeling.
But then I heard the footsteps.
"Hey babe!" he said as he walked toward me. I was petrified. My feet wouldn't move from their spot. Finally after seconds of trying I was able to turn around and walk the opposite direction.
He grabbed my wrist pulling me back. "Miss me?" Tyler said with a smile.
"No," I snapped. I was surprised that even came out.
"Well I missed you," he said pulling me towards him.
"Fuck off," I spat pushing him back. I had some new found confidence.
"Whoa! Someone is a little bitchy today. You know I can fix that if you'd let me." He ran his fingers through my hair and I had to do everything in my power to not vomit from him touching me and at his dirty suggestion.
"Leave me alone," I grunted. I tried to walk away but he pulled me back. "Let go." I tried to shake my hand loose. "Let go!" I planted my palm of my free hand right on his face. He rubbed his cheek and I could see the anger rising. I shouldn't have done that.
He smacked me probably ten times harder than I hit him. The pain spread out through out the entire right side of my face. I let out a whimper as his grip tightened on my wrist.
"I'm done with you." He pushed me off to the side walking away. And I was praying that he meant he was done with me forever. But he didn't because he turned around and said," You'll pay for that Jess."
I sat down on the bleachers beside Amanda, still a little shaken up from what had happened 3 hours earlier with Satan's spawn.
"You came! Good! Ava is going to be so excited!" Amanda yelled over the cheering crowd.
