I walked to my brothers truck, getting in and slamming the door to show my protest.

"Ready for some bowling?" he asked, just to piss me off more. Seriously who even goes bowling anymore?

"I like bowling, just not the people who are going to be bowling. I don't even understand why we are doing this," I said, slouching in the seat.

"Because my girlfriend wants you two to be friends," he said as he pulled out of our driveway.

"Why? You two are just dating not getting married."

"Ya but I like her a lot and she's putting in an effort so why can't you?"

"Because its that Larissa chick. When she looks at me, I swear she is mentally strangling me," I said, strangling an imaginary person in front of me.

"Ya she's a jealous person. She's got a thing for Louis and seeing you talking to him drove her crazy. Plus you are so much prettier than she is!"

"Shut up, you suck up. Compliments will not make me cooperate." He laughed.

"What ever. Just put a smile on your face and it will be over before you know it."

We arrived at the bowling ally, the rest of my brother's friends were there already. They swarmed us, Carry hugging and kissing my brother and Larissa giving me the death stare. Louis stood there awkwardly.

"Hey Jess," said Carry.

"Hi," I replied.

"Hi Jess, nice to see you again," said Louis with a wink.

"Nice to see you too," I said returning the wink. We all stood there awkwardly looking at each other. "I'm going to go get shoes," I said breaking the silence.

I made way to the counter and asked the guy at the counter for shoes. He was about my age maybe a little bit older. I watched him check me out as he set the shoes down in front of me.

"What's your name, sweetheart?" he said, leaning against the counter.

"Well I can tell you one thing, its definitely not sweetheart," I said as I grabbed my shoes and walked away. Why were boys such pigs?

I walked back over to the group, sitting down on the chairs at the end of the lane to put my shoes on.

"Did he just hit on you?" asked Carry. Oh how awkward, my brother and boyfriend in the same place and a boy hit on me.

"Yes," I said looking down at my shoes, tying them up.

"He was kind of cute! Why didn't you ask for his number?" she asked. Why was she so excited? My brother and Louis were both giving me the same over protective look.

"Because she doesn't need a boyfriend," Todd piped in.

"Shut up, she's almost 17 and you treat her like a 5 year old. Poor girl will never go on a date with you here," Carry said. Maybe she's not as bad as I thought.

"That's because nobody will ever be good enough for my sister," my brother argued. I looked at Louis. I could see the sadness in his eyes. He was probably thinking the same thing I was. There was no way we could be together. My brother would never approve of him.

"Can we just bowl?" I said standing up.

"Yes, bowling sounds great," Louis backed me up with.

"Ok Jess, you go first," Carry said. I gladly walked over to the front of the lane and picked up ball. I threw it knocking down all but two pins. I heard cheering from behind. I took my next turn and ended up getting a spare.

"Ok, who forgot to mention that she was good at this?" said Louis. Everyone looked at my brother.

"I forgot she could bowl!" he said defensively.

We went on for about a half an hour, me dominating everyone.

"Ok, I'm going to go get drinks anybody else want one?" Carry said.

"Ya I'll come with you," answered Todd.

"Ya me too," said Larissa standing up. "Louis?" she said looking at him.

"No I'm fine," he said. They all walked away leaving me and Louis behind.

"Oh thank god," I said, once I knew they were out of ear shot.

"Larissa too much for you to handle?" Louis asked laughing.

"Yes! She keeps looking at you all googly eyed and is flirting and I swear she was checking out when bent over to throw!" I yelled. He laughed at me.

"Calm down. Someone's a bit jealous I see?" he said chuckling.

"Yes I am!" I admitted. I sat down beside him on the chairs at the end of the bowling lane.

"I think that's really sexy," he whispered in my ear. "Same with these shorts," he said, fiddling with the hem.

"Louis, they might see," I said moving his hand.

"Sorry. When I'm with you I'm in my own private little world," he whispered. I giggled. "Did Tyler bother you today?" he asked. Of course the inevitable question.

"No he wasn't there today," I said. It was the truth. I hope he moved or something and I would never have to see him again.

"Good, hopefully he's in jail or something," said Louis. We sat there for a bit with out talking. This would probably would be the moment when we would kiss each other if my brother wasn't in the same building as me. Whenever it was quiet like this we would always end up kissing each other.

"I really want to kiss you right now," Louis whispered. So he felt it too. "I really just want to tangle my fingers in your hair and slide my lips down your neck and kiss behind your ear because I know you like it and you do that cute squealing thing," he said seductively in my ear. I got shivers up my spine. I shushed him.

"Be quiet. I'm like two seconds away from getting on top of you and sucking your face off. So say one more thing like that Louis and I swear..."

"That sounds like fun," he said laughing. I couldn't help but laugh too.

Carry's P.O.V.

We waited for our drinks at the counter. I glanced over at Louis and Jess. They were laughing and talking together, it was really cute. I smacked Todd on the arm, who was distracted by something else.

"Ya?" he said spinning around.

"Look at them," I said.

"Look at who?" he asked. He was so oblivious.

"Louis and Jess, look at them," I said pointing. He stared at them awhile.

"What?" he said looking back at me.

"Look they're happy, she's laughing. They would be so cute together!" I said, getting more excited for someone else's relationship than my own.

"No," he said flatly.

"What do you mean no!? Look at them! Those are genuine smiles. The way you smile when you like someone," I said.

"Ya, no, I don't care if they go good together or not I refuse to think they like each other," he said.

"You have to let her grow up! She's almost 17!"

"She can date anyone she wants but not him."

"Why?"

"Because I know him too well and trust me he is not someone I want my sister to go out with."
