I ran down the hall to Amanda's locker. There was no way I was going to be caught alone with Tyler.
"Hey, why the sudden sprint for my locker," she asked, a questioning look on her face.
"Oh you know, I just didn't want to miss you. Can I get a ride after school to Louis'? " I said. I hated lying to her. I could always tell her everything and now I felt bad with holding some pretty vital information from her.
"Um ya sure. Is everything ok with you? You have been acting really weird lately. Is everything alright with you and Louis?" she asked giving me a concerned look.
"Ya everything's fine couldn't be better!" I said, almost a little too enthusiastic.
"Jess seriously? Don't lie to me," she said sternly.
"It's not Louis, it's-can we talk about somewhere else?" I whispered, afraid that Tyler could be lurking around any corner. She noticed the concern on my face, her expression lightening.
"Yes of course. We can talk about it on the way to Louis' house," she said rubbing my shoulder with a half smile on her face.
"Thank you, Amanda."
"Are you going to be ok until then?" she asked.
"Yes just as long as you stay with me," I said as we started to walk down the hall. My eyes swept the hallway for any sign of Tyler. Every time I saw a tall dark figure my heart jumped in my chest, only to be eased again when I learned it wasn't him. I breathed a sigh of relief when I was couple feet away from my next class. In there I was safe. There were people and teachers, but in the hallway it always seemed empty when I needed it to be full.
I caught something out of the corner of my right eye as I walked by a classroom door, the door opening. I quickly glanced over to see my worst nightmare walk out of the opening door. My heart started pounding, the adrenaline in my blood rushing through. He stopped and winked at me, his lips forming an evil smile. His eyes were dark and wide as they scanned me up and down. It shivers up my spine, the way he looked at me. He looked at me with such evil intentions that it showed on his face. His face was covered in black and blue bruises and I knew that they were from Louis. Who knows how much more damage Louis would have caused if he wasn't pulled off? I shook those thoughts out of my head. I hated Tyler, but I would never wish brain damage or maybe even death upon him.
I dug my fingers into Amanda's arm and pulled her, forcing her to pick up speed. I wanted to be in the safety of my class as soon as possible. I turned away from him and never looked back.
"Ow Jess, what the hell!?" she yelled. I quickly shushed her. Finally we were close to my next class. I shoved her in through the door, her looking at me and giving me a dirty look. We sat down at our seats. She leaned over the desks to closer to me.
"What the hell is going on Jess?" she whispered.
"My worst nightmare."
On the way to Louis' house I explained everything that happened. I ended up in tears, curled up in the car seat.
"Wow that fucking asshole! Are you alright? How bad are you hurt?" she said concerned.
"Some bruises on m-my neck a-and my hip," I sobbed.
"You should report him! This psycho should be in jail!" she yelled. We pulled up in front of Louis house.
"I-I can't. He said he'd-d h-hurt me," I spat out.
"Jess if don't he is still going to hurt you and he is just going to hurt other girls too," she said rubbing my shoulder.
"I know," I said sniffling. "Don't tell anyone ok? Just act like you don't know."
